[0.23 lb] I occasionally have to fly for projects, and that means sometimes having to check my camera case. I never liked that the basic plastic Sony body cap could easily twist off. Granted, this body cap is a bit expensive for what it is, but I really appreciate that it clicks into place and requires the lens release button to be pushed before it can be removed. It's just a little extra peace of mind. 5

[0.23 lb] Much nicer than the cheap plastic caps you'll get when buying a camera. It's mostly a cosmetic upgrade but it's very well designed. 5

[4.3 x 4 x 1.7"] This body cap is totally unnecessary, but I'm glad I was able to get one. It's beautifully milled, totally solid and heavy (for its size). It protects your camera's sensor just like the plastic one does, but it also engages the lens mount lock just like a lens would, so you need to push the lens release button to remove it. A+ 5

[Aluminum] I like that it locks on the camera. Did not mind spending a bit to add the extra protection to my multi thousand dollar camera. The cap is very well made. 5
