The lightweight, formfitting aluminum cage maintains access to the camera controls and compatibility with the original XLR top handle. It also features an integrated Arca-Swiss plate, making it effortless to get your camera off the 15mm baseplate and onto Arca-Swiss compatible tripods and gimbals.

The reversible aluminum top handle is a robust solution for carrying heavier camera rigs with additional mounting points, including:

[Aluminum] The magnetic screw tightener is such a clever little addition that makes a huge quality of life experience when running and gunning. Basically it's all you could want from a basic cage for the FX3/30. 5

[Sony FX3] I was reluctant to cage up my Sony FX3 solely on the basis of keeping my camera as small and lightweight as possible. However, after making this purchase on B&H, I discovered the SmallRig Cage is extremely light and feels the same ergonomically without it. I figured it's a win win- my FX3 is further protected, I can add a side grip handle/strap, additional grip securement on my HDMI port, and, have an additional cold shoe mount for various tools, such as my newly acquired Sennheiser MKH 400. I love this cage! 5

[3.32 lb] I purchased this cage for my second shooter after she got her Sony FX30. She opted out of the audio handle, so having this worked out perfectly, and I am surprised with how awesome this cage is on shoots. I wish that there were a couple more fastening points, especially with all the places that COULD be used for a tighter fit on the FX3 and FX30, BUT this is still a very solid cage. I am a big fan of Sirui products, and this certainly did not disappoint. SIDE NOTE-- If you wanted this cage mainly for the hand grip and to have a cage, keep in mind that you CAN use this cage WITHOUT the handle and instead use you Sony audio handle. 5
