[Aluminum, Wood] The usual solid build we come to expect from Zacuto. Camera mounts without any wiggle and the hand strap, mounting points, z-rails, rosette mount and built-in arca-swiss compatible bottom plate are a plus.

[Aluminum, Wood] I shoot films and we don’t always (almost never) have permits so I wanted a run and gun cine camera that I don’t have to rig out like my Z cam M4 or my BMPCC (og 4K). If you like myself have manual focus MFT cine glass, this is one of the best cameras money can by. It does everything so well. I recently won a photo competition and had one of my shots published. (Almost all of the other competing photographers were shooting full frame lol)

I thought I’d be using ProRes more but I’ve been shooting and editing the 5.8K open gate .MOV files w the Sirui Anamorphic's and the footage is so beautiful and easy to grade. Vlog is stunning for video color grading using the CST tool in Resolve.

I have one piece of constructive criticism for Panasonic… Please add low pass filters (OLPF) to your video focused cameras. Sharpness is easily fixable in post; aliasing/false colors/moire is almost impossible to correct in Resolve.

[5x Cold Shoe] I do a lot of shoots for social media/YouTube content and this cage has been great to work with, I also got the grip handles that attach to it and it's really comfortable to shoot free hand with. Only downside, I wish it had a top handle rather than having to buy it separately, not the end of the world though!

[5x Cold Shoe] This is the best cage for gh6 in my opinion but also the most expensive cheese grater style out there. But it makes my handler camera shooting a breeze with multiple attachments. The base plate is a bit awkward with the small rig rod attachments but it's fixed with a few more accessories. The side strap is strong and classy. I bought the top handle too which is another engineering marvel. This has certainly increased my versatility on long shoots and instant grip change with the Zacuto handle handling like a nunchaku. Great ergonomics but I wish the cage came with extra screws. Mine fell out and it was a pain replacing it. Anyways. Great job guys! This review is after two years of owning it.

[3.7 lb] I love mine. It's an excellent camera. I use it mostly for video (YouTube). The fan is awesome for summer heat and continuous use. Autofocus is older tech but honestly its not that hard to use. Also, manual focus isn't that tough either. Just practice.

[3.7 lb] I own 3 GH6s to compliment 2 S5IIs for wedding films and the GH6 is a joy to shoot with. Incredible IBIS, ergonomics that fit my style perfectly and more codecs than I could possibly need. My favorite aspect of this camera are the colors. The image out of this thing is sublime and something that i've been disappointed with in recent Lumix camera releases. The S5II might have the better autofocus, but everything else about the GH6 is so much better and the reason why I reach for it every single time.

[3.7 lb] After dealing with disappointment from how much the SmallRig Black Mamba cage flexed, I knew I needed a more robust cage for my GH6. Through my research, I’ve found this to be the GH6 cage with the most points of contact on the camera body (two M2.5 screws on both side strap loops, and a 1/4” 20 on the base). Construction is sturdy, as it’s made of thick machined pieces. The top of the cage is essentially a 1/4” 20 cheese plate, and offers a NATO rail for top handle mounting. I’ve tested this cage with the LUMIX DMW-XLR1 while mounting a Zacuto top handle, and it’s a narrow fit, but I can confirm the cage is compatible. The left side also features a NATO rail, ARRI rosette, and a 3/8” 16 with locating pins, but there’s no mounting coverage on the right side, which is kept open to allow handheld operation on the camera body. I would have preferred to have the right side enclosed too, so a side grip could be mounted, but that’s a small issue. Front-to-back oriented Arca plate on the bottom of the cage is much better for tripod configurations and works perfectly with Zacuto’s ACT baseplate. Hands down the best cage for this camera.

[5x Cold Shoe] I purchased a GH6 towards the end of December but had to RMA it for a replacement because of a few bugs it had. I had a chance to put my replacement through various tests on a weekend long shoot and I must say whatever Panasonic did to improve this particular sensor they really knocked it outta the ball park. Most of my shooting was indoors, available light (because of extreme time constraints on this particular shoot. I HATE those conditions but I promised the guy I'd help him) and what surprised the hell outta me was its dynamic range (without using the dynamic range boost feature) AND the fact I had the ISO set to 100! I was getting a T2.2 reading with a few overhead fluorescent lights! I couldn't believe it! I am so used to shooting the native 400 ISO on my GH5 and GH5s that I am amazed I could get great exposure and DR indoors at 100 ISO with this GH6. What I also love is being able to record to an external SSD, internal Apple ProRes and the myriad of function button settings I can customize. Battery life is so so as I get about an hour an five minutes per battery shooting C4K, Apple ProRes, 24.00p to the SSD which does eat up alot of juice. I am so enamored with this camera that I am considering buying a second as a backup. I have no desite to go APS-C, full frame or monkey around with speedboosters. The video images with my native MFT lenses look really great.

[5x Cold Shoe] I love how this cage is engineered. My GH6 fits perfectly and allows various configurations due to its modular design. I cannot use the top handle when using the DMX-XLR1 sound module but that's a small concession.
