The Desmond DB-70 Ball Head with Arca-Type QR Platefeatures an Arca-type clamp and quick release plate and supports up to 88 lb. It offers tilt, swivel, and 360° panning and has a 360° pan scale and an independent pan lock. The ball diameter is 70mm, and the ball is hollow for lighter weight. The head is all-aluminum with no plastic or rubber parts. It has a 3.5" base diameter and 5.3" height. The base mount is a 3/8"-16 thread, and a 1/4"-20 bushing is included.

[Yes] This tripod attachment Arca style plate solved the problem of the mount hole being very close to the battery door. The slot for the attachment screw goes extremely close to the edge of the plate, so close that the screw head can hang very slightly past the edge of the plate. I was trying to pick my least favorite plate to try to modify, and don't need to anymore. Highly recommended for anyone with clearance issues on tripod mount. 5

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I use these with the matching clamps on my Quantum T5d lights for quick attachment to light stands. Trying to screw them on light stands with the cord wrapping around the stand as you make the turn is a pain. A secure fast mount to the stands is preferred. 5

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This is the most solid and well made ball head I have ever purchased. Smooth operation with well beyond the average holding power of most. No problem holding my Nikon D850 with my Nikon 70-200 F2.8 vr lens at any angle. 5

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I use the Arca-Swiss type of plate on both of my larger cameras. I needed a small and inexpensive plate for my Lumix GM5 so I could place the camera on any of my tripods. The plate is as small as it can be and was a fair price considering the little bit of use I expect it to get. I mounted it left of center so that I can access the battery and memory card. 5
