A: The plate that attaches to the camera is 501 compatible. the connection at the bottom is an arri dovetail. what most people do is mount a dovetail plate on top of their tripod because the arri dovetail is much easier to get larger camera systems on/off a tripod. however if you prefer to use the 501 plate instead you can mount the dovetail plate to the bottom of this cage and then attach a 501 plate beneath the dovetail.
