[35.17 lb] I purchased this about 2 months ago when I stopped by my local hifi store. They had 1 in stock, so I bought it. I liked it. I upgraded my cables and now I LOVE it. [Yes] I have this amp powering Klipsch surround and tower speakers and the crisp clean clear sounds and vibrant bass is very satisfying to the ears. I replaced my 80’s Harmon Kardon system and this is a step up. Technology has definitely been added and I had to learn the system and I am still learning it. However it’s an enjoyable process. It is complicated at first, but it is much easier after figuring out the app on my phone. I love that part. 5

[Yes] I decided to make a switch from the power house yamaha rxa2080.. was worried I would be dissatisfied but I was wrong. I prefer the warmer tone of denon and the UI/audyssey. Also wanted it for future proofing and the ability to turn off the internal amps to utilize my external amps better. Pros: 8k 60fps and 4k 120fps Powerful warm sound Many options UI Cons: Need to pay for app to utilize important features.. low blow Same goes for Dirac live Reference has unwanted high roll-off with no option to change Multi eq app is hard to adjust using phone 5

[Yes] So the receiver was already a top notch upgrade, saying you have a nice set of speakers and a quality sources. But Dirac Live (Full Version) is next level, this is your reason to upgrade to the AVR-X4800H. It makes such a cohesive and balanced bubble of sound after properly* configuring Dirac (make sure to watch a few YouTube videos). Save the default results as flat, and then create a movie and music curve the way you want it to sound. Once you have it how you think* you want it, upload it to the AVR and take it for a spin. Dirac has finally freed Denon AVR's into something exceptional, not just great. JUST FYI: You'll need a MiniDSP Umik-1 (or version 2, but not necessary), the curve text file from MiniDSP (90 degree version), a microphone stand to place the mic as instructed, the full Dirac license, your laptop annnd everyone out of the room (as close to absolute silence as possible). Watch some videos on setting up Dirac 3 so that you understand the initial settings etc. After each position is completed, hold on to your hats! You may need to adjust volumes here and there afterward, but you will notice that, wow, this thing sounds WAY better than Audyssey on its very best day in a perfect world with the Apps. Denon, thank you for adding Direc Live 3, now can we have Dirac Bass Management and Dirac ART (Active Room Treatment)? Unstoppable? Thank you in advance. 5
