[8K] I have been using this device for a few months and am very satisfied. Installation and use is not complicated and the quality of the output is very impressive.

[Yes] Only using this new receiver about 3 weeks. Setup with onscreen menu items was straightforward and not very complicated. The unit will take a while to properly adjust, however, since there are a great many fine tuning options (like multiple levels of dialogue enhancement for the Center Speaker; tone controls for each input source) to learn and play with. Sound quality is very good and build seems solid and well-designed. Plenty of power for a medium sized home theater room. Good flexibility for surround options - 5 1, 7.1, two subwoofer outputs, Atmos support, etc. Highly recommend... I don't think you can go wrong with this Denon model - and it's a good value for the money.

[AM, FM] I have this amp powering Klipsch surround and tower speakers and the crisp clean clear sounds and vibrant bass is very satisfying to the ears. I replaced my 80’s Harmon Kardon system and this is a step up. Technology has definitely been added and I had to learn the system and I am still learning it. However it’s an enjoyable process. It is complicated at first, but it is much easier after figuring out the app on my phone. I love that part.

[AM, FM] I decided to make a switch from the power house yamaha rxa2080.. was worried I would be dissatisfied but I was wrong. I prefer the warmer tone of denon and the UI/audyssey. Also wanted it for future proofing and the ability to turn off the internal amps to utilize my external amps better.
Pros:
8k 60fps and 4k 120fps
Powerful warm sound
Many options
UI
Cons:
Need to pay for app to utilize important features.. low blow
Same goes for Dirac live
Reference has unwanted high roll-off with no option to change
Multi eq app is hard to adjust using phone

[ARC, eARC] This replaced a Yamaha unit that was old in the tooth, and having a lot of trouble with our current OLED 4k tv. This thing gives me no issues and even sounds far better. Suddenly the rear speakers are making a bigger difference than they were with the Yahama even though both were calibrated.

[Yes] The Denon AVR-x1800h is night day compared to my previous 8 year old receiver. Sound for TV and music is crisp and clear. I used the Audessy calibratoon and it really fine tuned the sound. The addition of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision has really improved 4k TV watching, and I don’t have to blast to hear dialog, or background sound.
My setup is 2 front speakers, center channel and a subwoofer.

[8K] This receiver is truly nothing short of excellent, it replaced a Yamaha RX-V4A which was so bad that I have regretted it ever since.

Setting up this receiver was a breeze, I think it took 10min total and mainly because I took my time and poked around all of the menus. I am not an audiophile so I won't even pretend to judge the audio quality, but I can tell you that the upscaling features greatly improved the video quality and the way it can fill in two channel audio to play through all of the speakers is exactly what I wanted with my previous reciever.

I have this connected to a home theatre PC (HTPC) and many of the movies that I play are only two channel. This receiver lets you see how many channels of audio are being sent to it and it allows you to see how many speakers it is sending the audio to; letting me pick an output setting that will utilize all of my speakers.

Much of my video source content is only 720P but my TV is 4K so the receiver does a great job of upscaling the source content to look good on the TV. Nothing will be perfect mind you, but it does a good job at what it does. Source 1080P footage encoded with a quality codec really shines and looks like native 4K after the upscaling process.

I am thinking about getting another one for the bedroom to replace an old Technics reciever.

[25.375 lb] A well-priced unit. Set up instructions are not thorough and required a call to Denon customer service. Customer service was excellent and guided me through the set-up. The sound options including upscaled ATMOS is excellent. I would buy it again.

[25.375 lb] I purchased this about 2 months ago when I stopped by my local hifi store. They had 1 in stock, so I bought it. I liked it. I upgraded my cables and now I LOVE it. I'm rewatching and relistening to a lot of my collection and absolutely hearing new things. It was a significant upgrade from my AVR-X2000 and worth every penny.
