The rear panel of the AV108 sports 8 26-pin headers, allowing you to use various cables so you can connect your system to the KVM switch.

The AV108 provides you with three ways of switching between different connected systems. Traditional push-buttons, hotkey support, and on-screen display. With on-screen display commands, you can rename target devices, enable or disable port binding, display firmware version, and adjust scan time intervals.

Front-facing USB 2.0 Type-A ports connect to the device you have selected, and if you switch to another device, the KVM then switches those ports to connect to that system.

You can connect a secondary switch to each port of a primary switch, allowing you to control additional switches, allowing you to scale your operation depending on workload.

[8] I needed to switch between two laptops that needed to use the same USB keyboard, USB mouse, and monitor using a VGA connector. The IOGear 2-port USB KVM switch is compact, with plenty of attached cables for both computers, and a very handy push-button switch on a long dedicated cable that allowed me to hide the KVM and position the switch right in front of my monitor. I am very pleased with the unit. 5

[2048 x 1536] I have had the SV340D since 2020 and its extremely stable between a mix of Linux and Windows (now just Linux) systems. I don't use dual head anymore, since displays are so big, so if buying today I would have likely gone with the single head model & saved quite a bit. The only problem Ive had is HDMI, like me, sticking around for much longer than I expected. p.s. if you are converting from HDMI to DP KVM you might want to consider either the universal video interface model, which can handleDP, HDMI, and DVI-D (with an adapter cable) or the conversion cable, both from Vertiv. Common HDMI to DP and Thunderbolt to DP active cables work fine with static displays but not with any KVMs that I have ever seen or heard about. 5

[2048 x 1536] I use this product to share one monitor/keyboard/mouse between my Windows 7 machine and my Mac Mini. I have no issues at all. Very easy to set up. Great product. 5

[Metal] I needed something so that I could access two separate computers, with two different Operating Systems, to the same monitor - without having to change the plugs back and forth.
