The belt drive motor can spin the platter at 33 1/3 or 45 rpm, letting you play both 7" and 12" records. The belt drive system keeps the motor out from under the platter, helping to reduce any unwanted vibration from being picked up by the pre-assembled AT-3600 Audio Technica cartridge.
