The SC840DPH KVM switch offers a variety of security features designed to protect your organization. Unidirectional optical data diodes ensure data flows in only one direction, while protected video display emulators eliminate potential data leakage from the display to the computer. Active intrusion detection and tamper-evident labels ensure hardware has not been accessed and manipulated on a hardware level.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the SC840DPH includes a wide range of connections that work seamlessly with your setup. Universal video ports support DisplayPort and HDMI connections along with DVI-D via optional adapter. Freeze audio channel locks the connected audio channel to the computer to prevent sound crossover.

[4] I needed to switch between two laptops that needed to use the same USB keyboard, USB mouse, and monitor using a VGA connector. The IOGear 2-port USB KVM switch is compact, with plenty of attached cables for both computers, and a very handy push-button switch on a long dedicated cable that allowed me to hide the KVM and position the switch right in front of my monitor. [4.415 lb] I have had the SV340D since 2020 and its extremely stable between a mix of Linux and Windows (now just Linux) systems. I don't use dual head anymore, since displays are so big, so if buying today I would have likely gone with the single head model & saved quite a bit. The only problem Ive had is HDMI, like me, sticking around for much longer than I expected. p.s. if you are converting from HDMI to DP KVM you might want to consider either the universal video interface model, which can handleDP, HDMI, and DVI-D (with an adapter cable) or the conversion cable, both from Vertiv. Common HDMI to DP and Thunderbolt to DP active cables work fine with static displays but not with any KVMs that I have ever seen or heard about. 5

[4] I needed something so that I could access two separate computers, with two different Operating Systems, to the same monitor - without having to change the plugs back and forth. This product did the job perfectly. I had to mess with the USB plugs a bit first, but finally got it right, and how easy it is now! I'm very pleased! 5
