This Pro AV/IT HDBaseT 4K60 HDMI Extender Kitfrom Pro AV/IT HDBaseT 4K60 HDMI Extender Kitcan extend HDMI video and audio signals, RS-232, bidirectional IR, and HDBaseT at the distance of up to 328' between transmitter and receiver via a single Cat 6a/7 cable. The system supports resolutions up to 4K video at 60 Hz. The transmitter supports ARC function and local audio extract. In addition, the kit is equipped with bidirectional IR pass-through, which allows for source and display control. It also supports USB KVM and PoC function. The kit offers the most convenient solution for HDMI extension via a single CAT cable with long-distance capability.

A: I believe the answer is yes. I will tell you our scenario. The out to the extractor runs the video and audio to our projector. We are able to hear audio through our projector as well as the main sound system that the sound is extracted to. in essence, we have the option of listening to sound through the projector only or through the sound system only or both. [ (13 W)] The StarTech device worked great from the time we plugged it in. Since it only needs power at one end (and either end works), it was easy to install and is flexible. Liked it so much that we are replacing another extender of a different brand. 5

[1x HDMI Female] I was tasked with having users mirror their laptop on a tv (after the built was complete) without software and I have found the answer. A facility had just finished a renovation and the tv was mounted, power was installed and network drops were in place but no thought had gone into how to utilize the boardroom to its full potential. After much discussion with endusers and management the most cost effective way would be to use an HDMI extender without any software installation required (since most laptops are locked down these days). With cables plugged in (HDMI and CAT5/6) all is left for the user to do is to plug in HDMI to their laptop and we now have the laptop screen on the tv. Another great product from Startech.com. [HDMI] I often like to show family members videos and pictures of our vacation and the kids from the computer on the TV. We also like to watch a lot of streamed content as well. My TV is not a smart TV so I can't stream content to it from my computer. I often have to copy everything to a USB stick and plug that into my TV. This eliminates that by being able to hook my computer from across the room to my TV as a monitor and watch media content on my TV from my computer without having to move it. Picture is clear without any degradation. The two units are small enough to tuck away out of sight. Did what I needed it to do. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5

[HDMI] Although you can buy other 4k HDBaseT extenders for less money, the Atlona units come with cable testing and firmware upgrade software which made the difference for me. The unit also works flawlessly for my 50ft run. 5
