[Fan] People far more experienced with measuring color accuracy than me (CineD, Gaffer and Gear) have scored this light surpassing just about any other RGB panel light in the industry. I'm not worthy of having such a light with so many capabilities, functions, and connectivity options, but I wanted to get a light that I could grow into. I love the durability and the color options. I don't have a huge need for effects but the way you can customize the effects are really amazing. Only wish the barn doors would come with this instead of an additional accessory you have to buy. I also wish the light, ballast, and accessories all fit in one single case. That said, I highly recommend this light!

[Yes] I noticed that the other reviews were for a single light or two, but this review is for the full kit, because I truly believe this product is the sum of its parts.

In ordering the full kit, everything came no problem (including the separately ordered batteries and battery charging docks - thanks B&H!). I was amazed (and initially concerned) how relatively small the box was, but WOW, everything fits in the one bag - including the stands!!! There was even room to put the batteries in there!

The lights are powerful (and completely silent), and they can talk to each other (via using the remote or changing settings on the lights themselves), and the variety and quality of diffusers, barn doors, etc is very impressive. The stands are great too, much stronger, yet lighter than a lot of cheaper light stands.

The only issue I can think of is that the DC power cords are a little shorter than I would have liked, so I highly recommend getting the Watson NP-F975 Two-Battery Kit with Duo LCD Charger (x 3 so you'll have a set for each light). The batteries are long-lasting and won't diminish the power.

All in all, this is an excellent light kit. And even though there are options to get 1 or 2 lights, I really think it's meant to be a full kit (right down to the way they package it), and that's where the remote control of the lights really works. So get the full kit, that way you'll get the most out of everything working together, which is clearly the point.

[16] There is so much I can say about this light panel, it's incredibly thin, light, and very bright. In one instance for a night shoot I had, I used this light to mimic several cop cars and it looked spectacular when we were looking at the dailies.

Buy Zolar, it's almost criminal to have lights this good and this packed with features to be at this price point. Buy now, you will now regret it.

[50,000 Hours] Im a wedding photographer, and I use these mostly for nighttime shoots. They are a nice alternative to my strobes. Plus clients are loving that we can get some good end-of-the-night portraits.

[Yes] We use these with our new FX9 and found them to be the most color accurate panels out there. We’ve tried the bi colors as well as the RGBW versions and they are terrific. The app is solid and we started using them right away.

[16] For the money this kit is excellent.  You get everything you need for a decent portable studio.  Even a case to carry everything around.


The lights are well built with an all-metal housing protecting the LEDs.  The metal ribbed backing of the housing also works as a heat sink, therefore, no noisy cooling fans.  The control knobs and buttons feel solid and operate smoothly and the display is easy to read.  And, of course, the lights can be powered by either AC or batteries.  Batteries have to be purchased separately.

I heard some bad reviews about the included stands and I agree they are not the best, but they are more than adequate to hold the lights and they fold up neatly in the provided carrying case.

The barndoors are plastic but work nicely and hold their position.  They also protect the LEDs during storage and transport.

Two diffusers are provided for each panel.  One slides into the panel and the other is bracketed off the panel.  They do a decent job of softening the light.  Both are removable.  To use the bracketed diffuser the barndoors have to be removed.  Kind of a pain but least the option is there.

Carrying case is very well padded with individual padded compartments for each item.  Carrying straps are heavy duty and stitched along the sides of the case.

The wireless remote control works and is a nice accessory.  It is a little slow in changing the temperature and brightness but if you need to remotely control a panel, it better to have one than not at all.

Overall, this is great lighting kit.  I believe since it has been out on the market for a while the price has gone down which makes it an even greater bargain.  I would highly recommend this kit.

[2.4 GHz] This is pro light at a great price point. The colors it renders is amazing. It has alot of professional features like Xy Mode to dial in the perfect color hue. The built quality is amazing and the stylist diffuser makes it easy to switch from 90 degrees to 45 degrees beam.

The only problem I have which is not a deal breaker is the case it comes in, it's not so great and it's two separate cases, one is for the light itself and other one is for ballast and cables.

Overall I think it's the best RGBAW Light out there at the price point with good color rendering score that compares to top end lights. Zolar did an amazing job can't wait to see whats next from them.
