The Tripod Collar by Fotodiox attaches your compatible Canon telephoto lens to a tripod or monopod while stabilizing it. A locking knob helps safely secure the collar to your lens. The knob can be loosened, allowing you to turn your camera from landscape to portrait mode without removing your camera from your tripod or adjusting your tripod head. The collar is coated with a matte white finish.

A: The tripod color is compatible with the Leica Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 2.84.0/2490 mm ASPH lens.It has an Arca-Swiss Style plate. If you have the adapter that converts the head to Arca-Swiss style it should work.

Q: 4. I am looking for a tripod collar for a Nikkor 300mm f.4.5 AIS, the barrel I.D. is 60mm and the band with is 25mm and it will have a 1.4-20 mounting hole.

A: Unfortunately we do not carry any tripod collars that are specifically designed for your Nikon 300mm f4.5 AIS lens. The collars we do carry are all proprietary for other lenses. A: Unfortunately not, the was designed specifically for the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L, Canon EF 300mm f/4L, and Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L lenses.

[0.45 lb] Great price for a collar a quarter the price of Canon's. Was a 15 second install, locks down well and holds tight. My Manfrotto quick release plate mounts perfectally to the base. I'll be using my lens mostly hand held, but this is an easier way to hand hold and make any adjustments to the camera or lens. Highly recommend this ring, fits my lens perfectly. 5

[0.45 lb] This collar attaches easily and holds a strong position grip in vertical, horizontal and in between, stays out of the way of all controls, real nice to fine tune leveling using a ball head and stay on axis while going from vertical to horizontal. So far I don't have a single negitive issue with this product. 5

[Aluminum] Don't believe the negative reviews on this Fotodiox tripod mount. It is designed to permit the camera to be rotated easily for horizontal or vertical shooting; but clamps securely for picture taking. There were no instructions on how to do this (probably because it is so easy to do). There are red dots on the knob and body of the mount that you line up. You pull out the knob to open or close the ring. When the ring is initially closed the camera can be rotated. Turn the knob clockwise until it stops and the camera is held securely. My only issue was that it turns so easily; but Canon's own C tripod mount may be exactly the same. The color isn't an exact match but for 1/4 the price I got a steal. Don't spend four times as much because some people are not mechanically inclined. This is a great product. There is no scraping of metal on rotating as some people reported. They probably didn't loosen the ring first (dummies). 5

[Aluminum] It is felt or fabric lined, has a safety catch so it can not work loose and fits very snugly. What more could you ask of a tripod collar?? 5

[0.45 lb] A heavy lens such as the Canon EF 70-300mm lens must have a Tripod Collar for safety and stability. The Fotodiox Collar is a high quality, precision collar that fits perfectly, yet allows the lens to be rotated in the collar. And it costs far less than the equivalent Canon item. Choosing it is what they call a no-brainer. 5

[0.45 lb] The collar adds a muchly improved mounting point for the SL and the 24-90 lens combination. It is not necessary for the 90-280 since it comes with a robust, non-QR mounting point but can be used instead of the standard mount. It worked well with my Novoflex and Gitzo QR's. 5

[0.45 lb] My first examination of this Fotodiox lens color reveals that it is well made and fits properly on the 70-300L as designed. the fit and finish is just as good as the Fotodiox products I have previously purchased. 5
