[3.72 lb] There are many great attributes about this camera, but the one that surprised me the most are the excellent JPGs it produces. After working over my RAW photos I compare them to the out-of-camera JPGs and find that the GFX 100S JPGs are always better. That's not always been the case with my Sony and Canon cameras. The GFX 100S is a fine stills camera and I'm glad I made the jump.

[3.72 lb] This camera is a joy to use! I have large hands, so I was a little concerned about the compactness of the camera body. However, when I added the MHG-GFX S handgrip it addressed my concern.

[3.72 lb] Camera is not that heavy to carry around. I have the 20-35 and 45-100 lenses, also adapted Pentax 645 120 macro and P 645 300mm lenses. As far as using the camera, I love the Velvia and Provia and B&W file profiles (hint: when Camera Raw sees them you can select additional PS profiles to process them). I especially enjoy using the X-Pan format for landscapes. Anyway, photos are gorgeous and that is what is all about!

[3.72 lb] You've read all the reviews so what is there to add you might asK? Only my own impression that this is the finest camera I've ever used...it preforms beautifully and with the incredibly large files sizes the images are magnificent. This is truly one exceptional camera!

[3.72 lb] On-line is just not the same as the no longer provided printed manual. For a relatively inexpensive $10 I got one that used to come with the camera! You would think that for $6,000 Fuji would toss in a manual!

[3.72 lb] I agonized as to whether or not to purchase this magnificent camera. I did and I am so glad I did. Words can't describe how well-designed the body, the controls and the menus are. My hat is off to the Fuji engineers for the great job they did in incorporating fabulous image stabilization, medium format sensor, etc. in such a hand-holdable body that just feels great while one is shooting. If you are on the fence, do it. You'll not regret it.

[3.72 lb] I've been full time professional for over 40 years and I've never seen images as detailed and as beautifully rendered, straight out of the camera, as the GFX100S images. It's reminiscent of shooting Hasselblads in the film era; the quality and detail in the negs & transparencies was incredible and unlike anything else at that time.

[3.72 lb] What should have been included with the camera! The spiral binding is a big plus.

[3.72 lb] The GFX 100s shows that Fujifilm has taken the lead in digital medium format camera design: large sensor, IBIS, phase detect focusing, quality build, small size, reasonable price. This camera is well matched to the Fujifilm lens, which make great use of the resolution offered by this large sensor. My first of their cameras was the 50s, after which I graduated to the FGX 100. Now I have the 100s, which likely is my end point camera, offering the advantage over the 100 of smaller size (and better IBIS). The lower resolution of the 100s EVF has not been a problem for me; the smaller camera size is amazing, considering what it contains.. The Fuji engineers should get awards for this accomplishment.

[3.72 lb] I've had my 100S since the Fujifilm embargo lifted on March 11th and it has been absolutely great. I am an enthusiast, not a pro photographer, and take primarily landscapes, gardens, architecture, travel, and urban-street subjects. The 100S has been fun and rewarding to use.
The image quality detail, dynamic range and colors are breathtaking. I bring up an image in Adobe Camera Raw and the Fujifilm profiles are all so beautiful but different. One profile will almost always fit like a glove for a photo that I select. The new Nostalgic Negative I've used quite a bit in landscapes. The Adobe profiles are very good also but they usually are not what I select.
The 100S is comfortable to handhold and the lenses are very well crafted and bring me back to my Hasselblad 503 CW days. I recommend the Fuji handgrip also, it conforms well to the hand with camphered bottom edges, much more comfortable than L-Brackets that I've used in the past. It's Arca-Swiss dovetail works well with my RRS equipment (see photo).
So yes, except for photographers specializing in Birds or high speed sports action, if you want the very highest image quality, I fully recommend that you buy the 100S.
