Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would the part that goes over the lens hood be tightened enough for a smaller lens diameter like the Panasonic Leica 100-400?

A: Yes it can fit tight enough over a lens like the Panasonic 100-400mm

Q: 2. I am 6'2 and wondering if I the standard model would suit my height or get the 'TALL' version?

A: Tall You can use the extra material in other ways. I use a stadium seat with a tripod on the ground and I have a lot of freedom, enough to read have a drink and observe while waiting.

Q: 3. Is the regular weight very heavy or should I consider the lightweight version?

A: I have the regular and it is only 2.3 lbs

Q: 4. Would it be possible to don this blind over myself with camera and tripod, and then wade into shallow waters, making this a water blind of sorts? I'd really love to be able to photograph waterfowl from as close to eye level (water level) as possible, but don't know if this would be two cumbersome when wet.

A: YEs you would be able to do that with this blind. Though it is not fully waterproof, it is water repellant, so I would just ensure to hang it to dry once you are done shooting for the day.

Q: 5. Will this fit on the Induro Stealth 4?

A: Yes these will fit the Stealth 4.

A: Absolutely. I use it with a canon 600 f4l is and 1DX. Works great.

Q: 8. Was wondering based on the comment about the top buckle if one could add a strap between the D-rings on one side to pull it up to it's "standing" position. any ideas from owners?

A: Yes, that should work as you describe above.

Q: 9. Can you lay down with this blind?

A: Yes you can but if you want to be closer to the ground, why not sit on a small stool.

Q: 10. What is the best size LensCoat LensSack beanbag for use with a Nikon 200-500mm lens: Junior or full size?

A: I watched a video on this and the smaller bag seems to be the right size for that lens. LensCoat has the video. And Id think if youre shopping for bean bag supports, youd know this isnt a bag or case...lol

[0.07 lb] There is not much to review about a Lens Hood Cover, except that it provides adequate protection, in my case it fits perfectly on the Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 DG HSM II Lens at a reasonable price.
The reason I purchased it is the original Sigma Lens Hood Cover is a constant struggle to remove & put on the lens.
I will only use it when actually going in the field to photograph since it is made of a material therefore not sure if there may be issues with fungus if used as a permanent (long term) replacement for the original plastic Lens Hood cover.

[0.07 lb] Bought this for my heavy duty Gitzo 4 series tripod. I use it with a Canon 600mm and it makes it very easy and comfy to carry the tripod with the lens/camera on it from location to location.

[0.07 lb] I had one a couple years ago and lost it. This new version has longer Velcro straps which is good.

[0.07 lb] I bought the small black LensCoat Hoodie for my Olympus 300mm pro lens and it works like a charm. I attached the hoodie to the lens with a string so it is always handy. When I am crashing through the bush I can quickly slip on the LensCoat and know that my lens is protected from stray branches. In the past I carried my lens cap for this purpose but it was hard to put in place and I couldn't immediately tell if the lens cap was on or off or worse I sometimes couldn't find the pocket containing the lens cap. Now I just look down at my lens hood and know my lens is protected by the LensCoat Hoodie. Perfect.

[0.07 lb] Works as intended -- I don't carry a super heavy rig (Gitzo Series 2, Canon 5D Mark IV with battery grip, Canon 100-400 mm II zoom) but this pad does the job and even fits my smaller tripod legs (recommended for Gitzo Series 3,4,5) without coming off. Won't use it often but is great when you need it.
