The ZeeVee ZvPro 610 VGA Encoder and Modulatorfrom ZeeVee ZvPro 610 VGA Encoder and Modulatorlets you convert component and VGA video input signals into digital cable channels and distribute them to an unlimited number of HDTVs over your existing coaxial cabling. The ZvPro 610 outputs 1080p/i, 720p, and 480p/i video signals, and features a single input channel with DIN connection for use with ZeeVee AV and VGA hydra cables. AV hydra cables provide component HD video, analog and digital audio, and composite video connectors for closed captioning support. VGA hydra cables provide a VGA connector and a 3.5mm analog audio connector.

The ZvPro 610 uses QAM RF modulation to turn an A/V source into a digital TV channel that is read by the digital tuner found in most HDTVs. To send the signal to additional TVs, you simply split your coax output by means of a splitter. You can send one coaxial output to hundreds, or even thousands of HDTVs with additional splitters. This eliminates the need for having a receiver box, signage player, or other video device at each TV in your facility.

The chassis is constructed from metal and is rack mountable with an optional 1U rack mount kit. The ZvPro 610 is ideal for use in sports bars, corporate offices, commercial spaces, or other venues with existing coaxial cabling.

The ZvPro 610 allows you to use your existing coaxial cables to send HD channels to TVs with built-in digital QAM tuners. To connect to more TVs, simply use a splitter to send the signal to hundreds or even thousands of TVs. Because coaxial cables support up to 134 HD channels, you can feed the output from additional ZvPro boxes into a splitter to simultaneously send multiple HD channels over a single coaxial cable.

ZeeVee hydra cables, sold separately, feature full-sized DIN connectors that connect to the DIN input on the back of your ZvPro 610. Hydra cables are available in VGA and AV options, and are required in order to input video signals to the device. VGA hydra cables provide a VGA connector and 3.5mm analog audio connector. AV hydra cables provide component video, analog audio, and digital audio connectors, as well as a composite connector for EIA/CEA-608 closed caption support.

A 3.5mm delayed matched audio output allows for compensation for the encoding time of the ZvPro 610 and the decoding time of a television. This is particularly useful when using a separate audio system. Audio delay calibration defaults to 400ms, and can be set from 0 to 2000ms, and is controlled from either the front panel menu or by using Maestro, ZeeVee's web-based management software.

A color LCD panel with navigation buttons lets you easily view device status, including IP address, data rate graph of encoded audio/video per channel, and configured RF and digital channels. You can also navigate the menu to view other details such as uptime, serial number, temp status, firmware version and firmware upgrade option (if connected to the internet).

ZeeVee's web-based Maestro management software lets you configure and manage your individual ZvPro unit, or the headend of an entire stack, locally or remotely through a single Ethernet LAN connection. Maestro allows you to see all of your channels at a glance, set channel names, RF output, IP/network information, and manage firmware updates.

A: The product features 480i or 576i video resolutions, it does not go up to HD resolutions I'm afraid. ZeeVee does have other products that do go up to 1080 with their output, such as the ZvPro 820 Dual Channel HDMI Encoder.

A: This device simply takes a digital HDMI signal and converts to an analog SVGA output. It will not provide you with any means of running 2 monitors. If you want the same display on 2 monitors you can use a splitter. You will need to buy a splitter that matches whichever output you choose to go with. So, if you buy this device, you will need a splitter that takes a single SVGA input and splits it into 2 XXXX output of your choice. If you are trying to get 2 monitors that Windows (I assume) will see as independent monitors, then you need a graphics card to do so, or device similar to TripleHead2Go (multi monitor adapter). In order to have Windows see independent monitors, you have to have some kind of hardware that will manage 2 monitors (either graphics card, or external graphics processor). I assume you want Windows to see 2 monitors, I recommend a new graphics card to do so.

Q: 8. Will this work on a dvd player to connect to a projector?

A: Technically, yes, it could work, but it all depends on the resolution and frame rate your DVD player outputs. If your DVD player outputs a 1920 x 1080/ 60i video signal, then this converter should recognize the signal and converter it to VGA. However, if your DVD player outputs a standard definition or 720p signal via the HDMI connection, this will not work.

[49.76 Mbps] I've been selling and installing both the RF only and RF+IP models of the ZVPRO since 2015. We had one power supply fail in that time frame. That unit was in a less than ideal location being bombarded with construction dust. The customer also had daisy chained power strips which I'm sure didn't help. That's it. We've had no other issues. All these units are still in service. 5

[Programmable] So, I was on the fence about buying one these because I'd never actually owned a quality standalone preamp before and I thought the preamps on my apollo twin were already pretty good (which of course they are), but after reading through the reviews for this beast extolling it's sound I thought I'd take a chance. Man oh man am I glad that I did. Everything sounds so warm, smooth, and detailed now that I barely have to EQ my vocals. The noise floor is incredibly low and contrary to a few reviews I've read, I get plenty of headroom to work with. I really couldn't be happier with this purchase, so if you find yourself in a similar situation to where I was, I suggest just going for it. 5

[Metal] Installed for a client. Worked excellent. The new Vizio TVs are not coming with Tuners and this device, although mainly for projectors, allowed me to use it and then split the HDMI signal to two TVs. The confusing thing about it is when you see the setup screen, but the remote doesn't work. You have to plug the sender extension into the IR port. 2nd time up the ladder, worked great. I would recommend. 5

[45,000 hours] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Physically and completely cover up my both ears, so it block the noises from the out side and work like a noise canceling head phone. It's awesome! The sound and microphone work good. Only one thing, it's little bit heavy to me using long ours. And I like a colorful LED lights both side. 5
