[Yes] So happy to be able to purchase this handle. I bought a Manfrotto 561BHDV-1 used and the handle was missing. This replacement handle works as it should.

[Fluid Head] I have a Sony HVR Z7U. I contacted chat on line at B&H, gave them my purchase parameters and they suggested this tripod along with several others. It's a quick and easy set up, works perfectly for my needs, feels sturdy, but light and I'm looking forward to putting it to use. It fits nicely in the bag that came with it and will hold a few other extras as well. Wish it had a light for the level, but that's what little flashlights are for.

[9.425 lb] This thing is awesome! It is definitely worth the extra money as opposed to the moderately priced heads out there. Feels exceptionally well-built. I expect many years of use out of it. The tilt and drag are as smooth as can be. So far I've not even used any of the drag and it's still smoother than my old head. Highly recommend.

[+90° to -70°] Smooth.......This head can handle heavy loads with ease 50+ lbs. Had a lighter head and needed an upgrade. I had good experiences with other Libec products so this one is a good fit for my RED EPIC when it's in the cinema mode. For the price you can't beat it.

[Fluid Head] Cheaper, more durable alternative to equivalent, 2-stage Manfrotto legs. Sturdy construction with adjustable spreader width and leg height. Tiers slide out smoothly. These legs are on the heavy side but they're stable. Great legs for people who shoot in demanding environments and frequently destroy legs yet don't want to hurt their wallet buying expensive replacements every year.

[Yes] Have been using this tripod head for years. Every other head in it's class pales in comparison. IMO.

[+90° to -70°] We bought a New Camera System to update outdated equipment. B & H suggested the LX5 M Tripod which works beyond my expectations. Durable, Strong and able to handle critical tasks. Looks nice with the Canon XF300 ... everything is black.

[Yes] After 12 wonderful years of being a workhorse, one of my DS-20 fluid heads broke this week. The central metal support that allows fluid tilt had broken off from one side. The metal of the tube cracked and broke off as if it had crumbled. This prevents it from engaging the fluid core and now tilts wildly... so I have to lock it. I noticed there was no bolt on that side of the head where it broke, but there are threads. Maybe a bolt would prevent the stress break. (I had a clutch rod on a car break like this.. the mechanic said, That shouldn't happen. I agreed.)


These are the best fluid heads we've ever used. Totally spoiled. I just wish it were easier to get a repair now that I need it. If I can find a bolt the right size, I might be able to rig it.


Still gets 5 stars! 12 years without any fuss. These are such a joy to use.
