Designed for audio equipment having an NP-1 battery mount, the IDX 2-Channel Fast Charger & 2 x 96Wh NP-Style Batteriesfrom IDX 2-Channel Fast Charger & 2 x 96Wh NP-Style Batterieshas a relatively high capacity of 96Wh and offers two D-Tap outputs for powering accessories. One of the D-Tap ports is a D-Tap Advanced type, which also functions as a charging input for the optional IDX VL-DT1 D-Tap charger (according to IDX, this is the only charger supported by the D-Tap Advanced port).

The NP-9X is IDX's follow-up to their popular NP-L7S NP-style battery and is compatible with all the same accessories, including the JL-2PLUS charger, sold separately.

A: Yes it can...but I will mention that it has been my experience that Sony chargers work best for the life of Sony batteries and IDX chargers work best for the life of IDX batteries.

Q: 6. Can this unit safely charge CoreSWX HyperCore battery packs?

A: CORE SWX says this V mount charger will charge CORE SWX V mount batteries with no issue.

Q: 7. Will these work with the Atomos Shinobi monitor?

A: Yes these batteries can work on the Atomos Shinobi monitors.

Q: 8. Is it compatible with the GVM LT-10S Smartphone Video Camera Rig Light? (GVLT10S)

A: The battery is compatible, but you will need two of them for that light.

[14.4 VDC] I've been using this battery to power my sound bag for the last 7 months or so. It lasts all day, holds charge really well, and overall just a great battery! 5

[1.295 lb] still uses the same charger, but lasts much longer than the old style. I love the fact that they have d-tap ports on the end. 5

[NP-1 Mount] Use this with my Sony Betacam Camcorders - for NP batteries. Works great on my old Ni-Cads AND on my new super light Lithium batteries too. It also has enough power to drive the more power hungry camcorders like my D30/PVV3 combo directly. 5

[1.295 lb] Used for direct local power for cameras and for charging batteries. Battery charge time is good, unit is compact and solid. I especially like the fuse casing which will come out with a small flat-head screwdriver or the like, much better than my last unit that required removal of 8 screws to get to the fuses... 5

[NP-1 Mount] This is the perfect battery for audio bag work. It lasted all day running a SD 633 and two Lectro 411s plus a phantom powered boom mic. I'm sure it could have also run the Lectro SRc, since it was only half-dead when the 12 hour day ended. It's significantly better than the previous version of the battery, which was pretty good to start with, but would have given up the ghost at some point late in the day. 5
