Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the mirror come with a center dot?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 2. Will this [safely] fit a 130mm (5.1") reflector tube?

A: This Cradle Assembly from Explore Scientific is a replacement for the cradle assembly included with the white 127mm telescope OTA but can also be used with other telescopes that would snugly fit its 5" inside diameter.

Q: 3. I have an older Televue Pronto 70.4mm f6.8 ED Doublet with a 2 inch focuser. Can I use this focal reducer with this telescope?

A: Yes you should be able to without any issues.

Q: 4. Will this work with my Lunt 152mm ED APO f/8 which has a 3 inch Feather Touch focuser?

A: Yes, the ES 0.7x Reducer should work reasonably well with a 3 inch focuser. There are three options for attaching the reducer to a focuser, a 3 inch adapter and two smaller adapters. The upper left cylinder in the product photo is for a 3 inch focuser. It has a 76mm outside diameter and 74mm ID with female threads. The 3 inch adapter screws on to the bottom (scope side) of the reducer. It appears to be designed to either be inserted into the focuser tube or screwed on, depending on your setup. I use it with a 127mm f/7.5 APO and it covers a full frame (35mm) sensor with sharp stars, but with some vignetting in the corners. Two issues I have with the reducer are 1) the T adpater is standard 42mm, as opposed to 48mm, and so produces more vignetting than is necessary given its 3 inch optics. 2) Given the 55mm T adapter shoulder to sensor plane recommendation, there are no 48mm threads or room for a screw in filter. I just ordered and adapter that will allow for screw in filters on the focuser end of the reducer.Hope this helps.

Q: 5. I have a 114 mm telescope I know this would probably be too big do you have a recommendation anything close would be good.

A: 114mm = 4.48819 inches. The closest size rings B&H would carry would be the Tele Vue Mount Ring Set for 4" OTAs BH #TEMTS4Q • MFR #MRS-4011 or the Vixen Optics Tube Rings with 115mm Inner Diameter (Pair) BH #VITRW115 • MFR #ES2665

Q: 6. Will this fit the Sky Watcher 127mm MakCas and how long will it take to get it in?

A: The telescopes listed as compatible for the Explore Scientific Cradle Assembly for White 127mm Telescope are": The Explore Scientific AR127 Explore Scientific ED127 Explore Scientific FCD100 ED127 Explore Scientific FirstLight And the computer says, the Cradle Ring will be in 7 to 14 days from the day it is ordered.

Q: 7. I see the telescope comes with a 1.25" reducer adapter to accommodate 1.25" eyepieces. What is the diameter of the focuser?

A: The reducer that is part of the diagonal in this FirstLight 114mm F/4.3 Reflector Telescope is 1.25" diameter .

Q: 8. can I use this on a Explore Scientific ED102 FCD 100 with a ZWO ASI 1600 MM camera?

A: Yes it should work

Q: 9. I have Explore Scientific ED80 80mm f/6 Carbon Fiber APO Refractor Telescope, iOptron SkyGuider Pro EQ Camera Mount, iOptron 1.25" Stainless Steel Tripod, and my camera is Sony A6000, what should I need to make it work?

A: If you want to mount your Sony A6000 body on your scope you will need a Celetron camera mount (B&H# CETA1.25). This will go into the scope in place of the eyepiece. A T-ring which will mount onto the camera body in place of the lens (B&H# VELANEXT). These two pieces will now screw together.

Q: 10. The image from the telescope is upside down and backwards. How do I fix this?

A: You would just need to add a 90 Degree Star Diagonal. The Celestron 90° Star Diagonal (1.25") will work. Link: https://bhpho.to/3t4ZEMK

[0.71 lb] Fits 3 light stands at least and is a great price!

[Black] After using a cheapo lightstand bag that would hold two stands and little else, this baby was a dream come true. I've put in three Manfrotto lightstands, a half-dozen clamps, four umbrella adapters, two umbrellas and two muslin backgrounds, and still have room for more. Best of all, the construction is heavy duty and superb. I don't expect this will be wearing out anytime soon.

[Black] I have a larger, bulkier lighting kit bag, but it was made for big reflective bowls, monolights and older, bulkier setups. Now that I shoot mostly smaller, industrial setups in tight locations I've switched to small, shape-specific LED units, and I I need are a handful of stands and a tripod. So a yard-log shoulder bag with a roomy main compartment and two smaller ones (sure, I gotcher angle mount right here) is absolutely perfect. Quick in, quick setup, quick teardown and I'm outtathere in one trip. Seems built really well, so I should be using this for a long time.

[2" / 50.8 mm] Using it to carry lightstands and some modifiers. Been using it for last few years now and it might not come with any paddings, it's a relialbe bag that you can trust the quality. No rips or zipper breaks yet.. strap connectors are still intact. My decision to purchase this bag was the size and price. I don't want to spend alot of money for carrying lighting stands...

[2" / 50.8 mm] I have finally found the perfect bag to carry my light stands. Let's face it my 4 light stands spend a lot of time in the back of my car. Then I carry them into a shoot and back out. Why would I spend more for a bag to go to and from my Outback? I tried another modestly priced bag from B&H and it fell apart in a month. This bag is not gonna fall apart for a long time. It is durable, well built and has tons of space. If you need a solid basic light stand bag buy this one.

[Black] I have a Explore Scientific 127mm triple refractor which is f/7.5 The 3 field flattern reducer increases my telescope speed by decreasing the f ratio to about a f/5.2 and gives sharp stars to the edge of the field in my photographs. The item works perfectly with my Explore Scientific telescope.
