Q: 9. Is this lens new or used?

Q: 10. Would this be suitable for fast moving planes (aviation photography on a 6d) Something I'm planning to take up?

A: I've gotten some really nice photos of high-speed aircraft (at Reno and local flying events) using this lens with my 6D. Light and cloud-cover may be factors, but I've gotten sharp images of jets and piston-engine fighters and racers flying under all kinds of lighting conditions with it, from clear desert skies to Washington overcasts. I've since upgraded to the L-series lens, but this one served me well for many years, and I'll keep it for those times when I don't want to lug around that big ol' hunk of an L-lens. The focus does tend to get a little soft when fully zoomed in to 300mm, but, overall, I think you'll be happy with the results you get.

[Canon White] I bought this to protect my camera during our rainy Pee Wee football season. It was easy to put on and looks like it will protect the lens. Perfect for our Washington weather.

[Canon White] I seem to be a bit clumsy at times and have dropped my camera/lens a couple of times. Luckily, nothing bad has happened but this is good insurance whenever it happens again. Easy to put on the lens.

[Canon White] The best lens protection one can put on a lens. All of my gear have covers protect primarily, but also to help conceal the photo gear when in the field. I shoot mostly wildlife.

[Canon White] I purchased this not really sure I was going to like it. To my surprise, and relief, I really like this product. It not only offers a protective covering for the lens but it also provides a barrier between a cold metal lens and my fingers on winter days. It's easy to put on and take off again when not needed. Since it comes in pieces I can use only those segments I wish to use. This is s great produce; I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.

[Canon White] I'm of the opinion that anyone who cares about keeping these expensive pro lenses in pristene condtion and without compromise, should have a lencoat. I like the product and find it easy to switch between white or differnt camo prints. I've now purchased several lenscoats in different patterns for wildlife work. It seems so simply but yet so smart.
