Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you recommend a small felt pouch or case that would fit this lens adapter?

A: To be honest, I leave it on the lens and keep the whole lens in a lens bag/pouch.

Q: 2. Will this work on Nikon D5300 camera ?

A: The FotodioX Adapter for Minolta MD-Mount Lens to Nikon F-Mount will work on the Nikon D5300.

Q: 3. I understand about the altered focal length, but what is the quality of the image: sharpness, contrast, etc.?

A: Image quality is fair, remember there is a glass element in the adapter to allow for infinity focus.

Q: 4. Will this adapter fit the Nikon D90?

A: MY MINOLTA 50mm lens is 48 years old and with the adapter it now fits my DSLR Nikon D3400. I do have to manually set aperture and shutter for this lens. I don't find that a chore since I'm doing that with my D3400.

Q: 5. will this work on a nikon d5100 please?

A: It works on my Nikon D300 which should be the same mount on your camera. However you will have to focus manually and adjust aperture on your lens as this this adapter does not have any electrical contacts to operate the lens. You also will not get all the exposure metadata you would get with an electronically connected lens.

Q: 6. Good Evening, asking if it'll work with D700 FX?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Minolta MD Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera will work with the Nikon D700.

Q: 7. Hello, I'm using a Lumix G7 with a lens turbo Nikon-M43 adapter. Do you think I could adapt an older Minolta MD W.Rokkor-X 24mm f/2.8 with the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Minolta MD Lens to Nikon F Mount ? That means I'd have the Turbo Lens + this adapter+ the Minolta MD W.Rokkor-X 24mm f/2.8? Any idea if I'm going to retain somewhat of a wide angle?

A: In theory you should be able to get the lens mounted on your camera. However, you won't have the wide angle from the 24mm. Due to the crop factor of your m4/3 body, the lens will have the field of view of a 48mm.

Q: 8. Will a Minolta X370 lens work with a Nikon F2 when using this adapter? Thanks.

A: Yes. The FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Minolta MD Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera will allow you to use MD mount lenses from the X370 on a Nikon F2. There is a 1.4x teleconverter in the adapter in order to maintain infinity focus so your lenses will appear magnified.

Q: 9. Will this adaptor work for both Nikon D200 as well as D780?

A: Yes, it is compatible with both cameras.

Q: 10. Is this adapter has aperture control dial in order to use it with auto focus Minolta lenses?

A: This adapter does not control the lens in any way. Aperture would be controlled on the lens. Minolta MD lenses were not Auto Focus lenses.

[Sony E] I came across 4 Minolta lenses and I have a Sony aR7ii so I picked up one of these and it's been fun learning to shoot on these lenses so I picked up 2 more (one lens is busted) for the rest of them so I don't have to swap out. Love them.

[Metal, Brass] Does what it's intended to do, I've purchased 2 and haven't noticed any quality concerns. Cheap enough that you can buy one for each of your Minolta lenses if you wanted, which is what I did. I great way to expand your lens arsenal on a budget.

[Sony E] It works like a charm, does exactly what I expected it to do. I'm taking crisp shots with my 45 year old Minolta lenses!

[0.44 lb] I have several of these adapters and they work great for fitting vintage all-manual Minolta Rokkor MD and MC lenses to my Sony a7riii. Snug fit, but not too tight, and no light leakage (at small aperture or with ND filters) as with inexpensive Vello adapters which I have now either returned or thrown away. (I hope I am allowed to say that here.)

[Sony E] This adapter has made my day! I wanted to try my Minolta lens I had purchased in 1973 on my Sony a6000. I'm getting great quality pictures with my 46 year old MC Rokkor-x PG 1:14 f=50mm now!! A solid well built adapter.
