Q: 3. Is there a way to use a camera flash (shoe mounted) with the lenscoat raincoat pro? I have canon film slr - eos 3 and canon speedlite 550 ex flash. thanks

A: Hi Sanjay, in reference to you question about the raincoat pro...it does not have an opening for the hotshow, but there are ways to shot with the raincoat on.One way would be to pull the raincoat around the flash. This would leave the flash exposed and a small portion of your camera on the back side of the flash.Another way would be to turn the faincoat so that the sleave is facing up and you could slide the sleave down over the flash and use the pullstring to cinch it on the flash so that only the end of the flash is exposed. This option should give you what you are looking for while keeping your equipment dry.Hope this helps.

[0.42 lb] Kind of a love hate relationship with these covers. They do offer great protection without any damage to your expensive investment. But they don’t last and are way too expensive for what they are. I called lenscoat on a previous cover that fell apart before the alleged warranty. They will not back product. Response was that was normal wear.

[0.42 lb] works very well. use it to add that little extra padding when packing into a pelican case or similar. very expensive for what it is and the camo is not needed

[0.42 lb] I bought this set to use on 14 and 17 TCs. I had to trim the larger one as it is intended for a 2x TC - it's easy to trim and fits the slightly smaller 17 TC perfectly. I own several other LensCoat products and have been extremely happy with them.

[0.42 lb] I bought this just to add some protection to my lens. The lens hood does not fit on reversed with the cover installed... This does not impact my typical use of the lens, but it does mean that I need to stick the hood in a pocket if I go to use any step-up rings.

[0.42 lb] Exactly what I hoped it would be. Fits like a skin, thinking about buying another and cutting end so I can leave it on.

[0.42 lb] Nicely made, easy to install, good protection and looks great. My only nit is that it is overpriced and needs access to the drop-in filter without having to remove the cover so that you can use the polarizing filter when you want to.
