[0.12 lb] Amazing sharpness, even in low light! Fast focus! Purchased for shooting sports. So far have only gotten to shoot baseball, but will be using for football, soccer, volleyball and dance as well. Shot with a 80-200mm 2.8 for years and finally made the purchase. A lot of $, but well worth the extra reach!

[9.65 x 6 x 1.7"] This does everything it promises to do. Im not sure its fooling any of the birds Im shooting, but they do seem to ignore me more. Ive got these on two of my other lenses and they help a lot with spray on the bow of a boat.

[Black] The LensCoat was as expected, easy to put on and has a very good feel. Because of the expense of the Nikon AF-S 300 f/4E, I felt it was worth protecting from scratches so this is the first LensCoat that I have purchased. Living in NE, the insulation makes it much more comfortable to use in the cold and I love the feel of the lens in my hand. Because I�shoot�mostly at high shutter speeds, I don't use the VR often but can tell it would be difficult to switch back and forth with the plastic cover.� Regardless, I wouldn't cut this out because it does add some water protection around the switch and it is easy enough to lift the neoprene to make the change. It works for me and I would highly recommend this cover.

[9.65 x 6 x 1.7"] I use the lens for wildlife to include birds. The sharpness and color reproduction of this lens is the best I have experienced. Focus is fast and accurate. This is my second Nikon 300mm f2.8. The first was an early manual focus version that had great glass also. But this new VRII version is even better. I use a Nikon 1.7 Teleconverter for longer shots that works quite well giving me 510mm on a full frame body. I also use the lens for butterfly's and other insects as it makes a good macro when you need a little distance from the subject.

[0.12 lb] Besides the anticipated lens protection from the inevitable bumps and bruises, it mitigates mishandling of the lens and consequential damage. The cover remains firmly in place during active handling of the lens on camera. In short, it does what it should do.

[0.12 lb] First of all the fit is awesome! Secondly the Lens Coat cover offers protection against dings and scrapes which is why I purchased this cover. Although the lens is sharp and fast, it is not metal so damage is a concern and I must admit that I am not as steady as I once was. This cover offers a practical solution to protecting the lens. I often use this lens while shooting in a bird blind and often bump the lens while putting down. Thanks Lens Coat and B&H!

[9.65 x 6 x 1.7"] I had two LensCoat lens covers for larger super telephoto lenses, and liked them both. This is the first time that I have tried a LensCoat lens cover for a smaller lens. I am really pleased this product. The fit is perfect, including access to lens switches. Not only does this provide protection to the lens, but the lens is actually easier to handle (i.e., less slippery) especially in colder weather. I liked this product so much that I bought a few other LensCoat lens covers for some of my other lenses.

[0.12 lb] Clear crisp photos. Its heavy and pricy but worth it. Great in low light.
