Q: 1. Anyone use the 600 for sports? I currently use a 300mm f/2.8 on a D850 and find it too short for soccer/rugby fields. great for baseball and basketball. Not sure if I need to go to 400-500-600mm.

A: Given the much greater 600mm telephoto reach, if your current longest lens is a 300mm then this would be a worthy addition. To get an idea of what that would be like, at 600mm you're seeing 25 percent of the frame you see when you're at 300mm. That's four times as "close." Having said that, especially since you're shooting with such a high resolution camera, you'll want to use a tripod or monopod so that camera shake doesn't rob you of any of the detail that your sensor can capture.

Q: 2. Fix the 150-600 sport series?

A: This is the SKU for the easyCover 150-600 Neoprene cover for the 150-600mm contemporary. For the sport, please see this item: https://bhpho.to/3HM2Xh1

Q: 3. Looking for a sigma 150-600 for a canon rebel. I am very new at this so I need help please

A: The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Canon EF, B&H # SI1506005CC would be the proper model for a Canon EOS Rebel DSLR. https://bhpho.to/39M4FNP

Q: 4. Is this true? there are 2 main problems: - the very end of the lens where it attaches to the camera is done as a steep cone, the piece that goes there doesn't stay in place and creates problem when you mount the lens; - the piece that goes on the extension works only with the lens fully extended, any focal length less than 500 you need to remove the cover.

A: Hi John, thank you for your feedback. I have to check the part closest to the body that does not stay in place. Once on the lens and on the body it stays in place I assume? The part on the extension is an 'extra' piece and yes it is correct that this part can only be used with the lens fully extended, if you use the zoom function that you cannot install this part. easyCover Team

Q: 5. Can you please tell me what filter size this hood steps down to? Thanks

A: The Voigtlander LH-90IIs Lens Hood for Apo-Skopar 90mm f/2.8 SLIIs (AIS F-Mount) will fit a lens with a 52mm filter thread.

Q: 6. Is this product waterproof or water resistant or neither?

A: The manufacturer's website lists the Lens Oaks neoprene covers as water-resistant.

Q: 7. What tripod would you recommend with this lens as well as a Gimbal?

A: For use with a gimbal, we'd always recommend slightly taller since when aimed skyward, the working eye-level of your camera is lowered. Too low of a tripod and you'd have to bend forward to use. I'd recommend a series 3 or 4 systematic-style tripod from Robus, Gitzo, Induro, RRS, etc. for use with a gimbal like the Wimberley WH200 https://bhpho.to/3ow9kMh or Gitzo fluid gimbal head (may also be used quite well with spotting scopes) https://bhpho.to/3sfbmmi.

Q: 8. I assume this lens does not transmit EXIF through an F-to-Z adapter, correct?

A: Unfortunately, EXIF information would not be transmitted through a Nikon FTZ lens adapter.

Q: 9. Where is this product made?

A: This neoprene cover is manufactured in China.

Q: 10. Would this lens work with my Nikon D7100 camera and would the AF work at all f stops?

A: This lens will work fine with the Nikon D7100. Concern about f/stops comes into play only if the maximum aperture is too small for whatever camera is being used to focus with. This is a concern with tele-extenders and cameras less than the top level. Since you are not using any tele-extender, and the focus aperture is f/4 and the lens will stop down to whatever aperture you select for the shot, there will be no issue regarding AF or f/stops.

This is much better than the bubble wrap and shelving paper I was using to protect my lens while traveling. It's light-weight and form-fitting so it does not take up any extra room.

I decided to protect my new lens with a Lenscoat tree pattern cover. Well, if you have strong hands, installation would be easy. Hands with arthritis is another story. I did get it put on lens but it took some time. I left the last piece off as I often use the polarizing filter. All in all it serves a good purpose and looks pretty good out in the Everglades.
