[Black] This product is of good quality and expands the use of the hot shoe on my DSLR. I suggest light-weight products only, i.e NOT heavy like LED lights for which there are other alternative for mounting. Best to not put too much pressure on the camera hot shoe.

[Straight/Flat] Not much to say here; it's a 12 cold shoe extension. It does what a 12 cold shoe extension should do - without fanfare. You don't even think about it when you use it - which is EXACTLY how it should be. It does its job; no muss, no fuss. I pop a shotgun mic and an ATOMOS Samauri on top of a Canon XA25 or 35 on it regularly. Good value for the $$.

[Straight/Flat] As always, CamCaddie did not let me down. I already had a ScorpionEX (without the cheese plate) and it has always been easy to use. I got this kit becaise I needed a second ScorpionEX, but this time I decided to give it a try for the one that comes with a cheese plate. Iam not disappointed. It is a lot easier to just clip the whole set on a tripod and unclip within a second when you want to move around. I am definitely going to buy a separate cheese plate for my first ScorpionEX now. If you haven't bought a ScorpionEx yet, just go for the kit because the cheese plate makes a world of difference when it come to versatility.

[0.265 lb] Good, solid cold shoe bar at a reasonable price for larger LED lighting, monitors and audio gear for mounting on a DSLR or small video camera.

[0.265 lb] I have an inexpensive 160 bulb LED light that has only female hot shoe sized attachment slots on the sides of the light. It came with an articulated male hot shoe-to-male hot shoe attachment device that works well enough. But it's made of plastic so it will have a limited lifetime. I got this item so I would have a replacement attachment device when the original wore out or broke. This item is all metal, is very sturdy, works like a champ, and will probably outlast me. The lack of articulation will not be a problem as long as what you attach it to can articulate instead. This item will certainly outlast the light I attach it to. This is the only male hot shoe-to-male hot shoe attacment device I could find. But I think it's a good one.

[Black] Excellent product. I'm able to attach my light, NTG1, and H4N Zoom, and still with plenty of room for maybe another light and a monitor. Comes in handy when I'm shooting projects, leaves everything hands free.

[Straight/Flat] I use the Sony PMW-EX3 camera and have two LED lights on it, the flimsy plastic Hot Shoe Adapters are all plastic and with the large Sony or Pearstone batteries attached and moving the camera around the vibration cause the tightener to jump the threads and eventually will fall off the camera if you're not attentive to the loosening. The adapter D-Flashner made by Cam Caddie is all steel and aluminum, when tightened down does not come lose regardless of walking, running or dolly shooting. The picture shows it to be GREEN but the one I got is black. I can't find any negatives with this product and they come in various heights, I got the one and a half inch adapter to try it out, now going to order three or four more for other equipment. I would recommend this to any professional or consumer that needs to rest assured that their peripheral equipment is securely attached to their camera.
