The black Shure MXW6 Cardioid Boundary Transmitterfrom Shure MXW6 Cardioid Boundary Transmitteris a bidirectional boundary transmitter with a built-in cardioid microphone, designed for use with Shure's Microflex wireless conference system. The unit has an earphone output that allows you to monitor return audio, useful for translations or programming material. A: The MX396 is supplied without a connector. Typically, an installer will use phoenix block-type connectors or XLR connectors on the cable. It is OK to separate the cable wires out to three separate XLR connectors.

A: This mic will work for you but be aware that the sound coming form the front of the mic will be much louder than from behind it since it is a cartioid microphone.

A: This is designed for surface-mounted applications on conference tables, podiums, lecterns, etc...

A: Yes. I use it with a DSLR as well as a basic consumer level camcorder. Youll need a 3.5mm to 3-Pin XLR Female adapter cable though.

A: The Shure UL4 UniPlex Cardioid Subminiature Lavalier Microphone can be used under clothing with a rubber mount like the LMC Sound CMTBK C Mount Universal Lavalier Mount (B&H # LMCMTBK) or the LMC Sound CMTVPRBK C Mount Vampire Clip Universal Lavalier Mount (B&H # LMCMTVPRBK) which has a dual-pin back. [Molded Plastic] This is astoundingly good boundary mic for $. Much more solid, heavy, and elegant (both the mic and the inline preamp unit) than I expected. Pattern and noise are just as advertised. For most conference room applications, the room noise (computers, AC, etc.) is going to be much louder than the self-noise of these mics. I will probably pick up more. This version does NOT have a mute button, BTW. B&H delivery and pricing were top notch, per usual! 5

[0.55 lb] Never could get a full rich natural sound until we installed this mic. It is used for live worship. Really allows for clear separation of tones without losing the natural sound of the piano. 5

[Molded Plastic] I vertically mounted this mic on a wall in a medical treatment classroom. It was to be used to hear conversation and responses by an observer in an adjoining area. I needed something unobtrusive and with enough sensitivity to provide clear audio, but without too much ambient noise. The MX391 is small, and the white color helps it to become almost invisible on the wall. Being mounted above the heads of the students and staff, the cardioid pickup pattern works great and helps to reject sound reflection from the ceiling. I had to build a TA4M extension cable in order to reach a wall mounted I/O plate, and another TA4F cable to reach the preamp, which I mounted beneath a countertop at the audio mixer in the adjoining room, but everything worked well. I've been using Shure products for many years, and they have never let me down. 5

[Molded Plastic] I use this microphone when I am shooting more then two on screen talents. It eliminates the need to mic each person individually and from having to precisely position a boom mic. I have used this mic to record 3 and four people sitting around a table and was very happy with the quality of the sound. Obviously, the person closest to the mic sounds the best but the quality of the people the furthest from the mic was very good with very minimal fall off. I would highly recommend this mic. 5

[0.55 lb] . We use this PZM mic to record conferences. . The great part about it is that the audio range can be modified from cariod to directional - can come in handy for large meetings. . This mic seems to handle ambient noise better than the average PZM . Not so great, seems a little complicated to change auiod range. 5
