This USB dongle attaches to your computer (Windows or Mac) running the Vista software and enables data output for control of your fixtures or tracking backup to another Vista system. A: Fusion is a VFX software, not editing. You can edit in fusion, but it won't be easy. If you need to track, composite in 2d or 3d then Fusion is is only second to Nuke as far as the overall potential. But Nuke is bloated and slow by comparison plus it's true power lies in scripting. AE would be another software worth mentioning, that best represents the blend of VFX composting and editing all in one. It is layer based unlike the peers, which makes it cumbersome for large composites, and it's rather sluggish even with local storage, but it does everything.

A: I've used all version of Fusion since the early DOS days of v1.2. It has become one of premiere compositing applications used at many VFX house's worldwide. It is a node based compositor like Shake and Nuke and excels in features and performance. The Studio version includes extra power features like 3D camera tracking and OFX plugin support. Once you go down the node based work path, you will never look at old style layer based programs in the same way. Limited only by the user's creativity.DaVinci Resolve Studio is a full featured non-linear editing suite. Starting out with a strong background in color grading and evolving into one of the best editing suites on the market. With version 15 Blackmagic has started to incorporate the Fusion VFX engine into Resolve. This gives the user the feature set of Fusion at the editorial level, and can allow end-to-end editing, audio production, VFX, Color Grading and Delivery all in one application. No more round tripping between multiple applications. It is a power house NLE program that has great industry support for hardware add-ons and an active development program that keeps it modern, ground breaking and up to date.I use both these programs daily and constantly find new ways to use the software to grow creatively. Q: 9. I just purchased Blackmagic Design Fusion 16 Studio from you (Dongle, electronic download). When I try to download from the Blackmagic website it asks for a serial number. Does B&H provide this with my purchase and if so can it be provided to me before my dongle arrives in the mail?

A: You can find your serial number on the box the dongle comes in, butt you don't need it to download fusion. On the bottom left hand side of the screen of that site, you'll find a small "download only" link, which is all you'll need to download the executable

Q: 10. Hello, Do the Activation Keys of Resolve and Fusion give the same ability to run both applications as it does with the Dongle? Thanks in advance!

A: The DaVinci Resolve Studio Activation Keys don't work on Fusion, but Fusion dongles work on all DaVinci Resolve Studio 16 platforms.

[USB] They work... well? Look- no way to sugar coat it. The app works poorly because some of the text is white on a white background and you can BARELY make out what you're doing. But... once you get them to connect and sort out the connection mess, you're in. And the app does do some great whitebalance features that are REALLY HELPFUL. And they work fine once you're in. And they do keep disconnecting, and you keep connecting them- usually goes pretty easy. But when your lights are up high or inaccessible, these are a grape lifesaver. 5

[48U 24576] I needed this for a video and photo project. It is compact and everything is in a well made zippered case. The bigger dimensions of this background fit nicely in my studio space. High quality and feel fortunate to get a great deal from B&H for an 8'13' chroma green background that is free standing and a breeze to disassemble. 5

[48U 24576] I love the size of this chroma key background. It provides a very big area to shoot on, which is fantastic. For its size, it builds easily. It can be built by yourself, but having someone to help is appreciated because of the sheer size of the screen when set-up. I built it in the studio. I did not bother to steam the cloth to remove the minor wrinkles and only used available overhead lights, and as you can see from my pictures, it keyed easily in Photoshop. The green color is very vibrant. I cannot express how much I love how it breaks apart and fits in a nice case. This is perfect for storage and travel. The poles are very light, but still sturdy. Because of the lightweight, the whole kit is not difficult to carry around with you, it really is surprisingly lightweight. Having it come in 4 sections allows you to position it a variety of ways which makes it very flexible for shoots. You can also position the sections so it is free standing. I will most likely use a c-stand or sandbags to be safe, but in a pinch that is a nice feature. Another nice feature is having the material machine washable. This way you can keep it nice and clean for shoots. I like that it has built-in elastic loops with balls to attach the material to the frame. This it makes it easier to attach and prevents you from losing the elastic connectors if they were not attached. Overall, this is a great screen. The large size is excellent, the design is good and the fact that it all fits in a small carrying case is fantastic. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] . 5
