[0.73 lb] All other brand cages made for the GH5ves that I've browsed don't have the little screws that hold the camera trough the strap eyelets on the camera Body. Theese plus the base screw give a firm 3 point hold on the camera so it doesn't twist when using a follow focus. That paired with a solid lens support (preferably with a belt around the lens) on a solid rod system should guive you a wobble free follow focusing experience, protect your not very solid M43 lens mount from coming off and keep your camera and heavy lenses properly aligned

[1x Cold Shoe] This is simply the best cage for the money. I tried the low end (Zeus) and high end (Zacuto) options, and there is absolutely no second guessing about buying this cage. It's got every option I need and then some and it's easy to take off for stabilizer use. It's also lightweight and I like that it is painted black instead of silver. Highly recommended accessory for the GH5.

[0.73 lb] This is a great cage that does what it is supposed to do - provide a solid platform for mounting accessories. I also have the similar cage for my GH6. It took me a while to figure out how to use the two screws - they go through the strap mounts on the camera and into the cage. This is a nice feature that prevents the camera from coming loose or twisting in the cage. The cage has plenty of mounting points for accessories.

[1x Cold Shoe] Love it. Its sturdy and secure on my GH5. I'm surprised how much I like the magnetic screw tightener on the bottom of the rig. Just know that once you have this on your camera, it'll take some time to take it off. I just leave my cage on my camera and use NATO rails to quickly attach and detach my accessories.

[1x Cold Shoe] First off let me say that if your thinking of a cage system this is your go to. it comes complete with rails and cable support unlike other systems that will get you for every little thing extra.

ill say the general first. its rock solid easy to use and highly adjustable.

now to function after sometime of use.
I love the adaptor stabilizer that comes with the unit. you can do it in two ways, either on the rails or to the cage itself. I personally go with the cage option as i never take the camera out of the cage and never take the adaptor off either. the rails option is for some one who breaks their camera completely down.

the top of the cage looks like it impeades your function of the mode dials. it doesnt, unlike the blog reviewers say, it doesnt stop you from operating it fluidly. sure if you try to use two fingers it gets wonky but the dials are made for one finger operation so the cage does not interfere at all.

other operational thoughts are the height of the rails and all the mounts make the unit high enough off the tripod head to pop the battery door open and change out batteries with out un mounting camera from tripod.

thats it really, its a cage, its used to attach stuff to the camera and make it rigid. it does exactly that. i support it.

[1x Cold Shoe] I looked all the cages available in the 8Sinn cage beats them all in design and execution. It cradles the camera tightly and really feels good and smooth in the hands. Disregard the on/off switch issue mentioned in other reviews as there's no issue there. Along with a Smallrig contured wooden handle, this setup is a winner. Love this cage and glad I bought it.

[Cage] I have the SmallRig half cage with XLR helmet and room for the battery grip, but with the new BLK 22 batteries the battery grip really isn't as necessary, so I was looking for a more stripped down cage set up. This fits the bill, especially now that the GH5 is my b-cam to my Lumix S5.

[0.73 lb] I looked for quite a while before settling on the Movcam cage, it is by far the sleekest, most functional cage I could find for my GH5. Not that the weight savings of being made of magnesium (same material as body of GH's) over aluminum is significant, it is still a wonderful nod to the whole concept of MFT cameras. Although this is a complete rigging framework with rails and top handle which is very well thought out, the basic cage lives on my camera, I never remove it. The request for this review came after my purchase of a second one for my brand new GH5s. Cannot praise this well engineered and beautiful piece of kit too highly!

[0.73 lb] Very good quality and very useful. Take care to realise that the stap holders (Triangles) must be removed but not the fixed rings that are actually part of the camera.

[1x Cold Shoe] Works great and highly customizable. I use SmallRig on other cameras as well, but I like the fit on this one best.
