With a console that supports HDMI 2.1, you can access an array of gaming-specific technologies that work to provide smooth 4K gameplay. You get 4K HDR pass-through at 120 Hz for amazing visuals and realistic response times. ALLM allows the console to automatically select your TV's game mode, while both VRR and QFT work to minimize lag and graphic tearing.

Onkyo worked closely with Klipsch to equip the TX-NR6100 with precise crossover values to make this receiver integrate seamlessly with an existing Klipsch Reference Premiere speaker system.

Whether you're starting a new Sonos system using an optional Sonos Port or already have an existing Sonos home sound system, you'll be able to remotely manage it using Sonos Volume-Pass Through on the mobile Sonos app. Use it to wake devices, change inputs, and play your content at specific volumes.

You can find and stream music through the TX-NR6100 receiver using the Onkyo Control app for Apple and Android devices, or using apps such as Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, TuneIn, or Pandora.

Multi-room audio playback is possible when using DTS Play-Fi and the Onkyo Music Control app with a compatible Apple or Android mobile device. Using compatible devices throughout your home, you can play music from a variety of sources to every room simultaneously, or to a specific group of rooms. You can stream from popular online services, networked media servers in your home, or other devices you may own over Wi-Fi.

Two different, high-quality video signals can be output to two separate rooms in your home and watched simultaneously. One room can enjoy full 8K resolution at 60 Hz, while the other can view 4K content at 120 Hz.

The receiver can integrate with your smart home devices, such those supporting Apple AirPlay, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant, letting you use your voice to manage your entertainment.

You can stream content to play through the receiver from a compatible Bluetooth-equipped mobile device, or stream from the receiver to optional Bluetooth headphones. Receive audio in SBC and AAC, and send audio through the receiver with SBC, aptX, and 24-bit aptX HD.

  • AccuReflex phase-matching for Atmos-enabled speakers
  • Stream over dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this run 4 or 6 ohm speakers?

A: The Onkyo TX-8470 Stereo Network A/V Receiver (BH # ONTX8470) are designed for 8 ohm speakers but will operate with 4 -6 ohm speakers as well.

Q: 2. Can you use dual subwoofers and are they parallel or independent outputs

A: The Onkyo TX-RZ50 has 2 separate subwoofer outputs.

Q: 3. Does this stereo unit support turntable devices?

A: The TX-SR393 does not have a phono input for direct connection to a turntable without an internal preamp. If the turntable has an internal preamp, you can use it directly with one of the RCA stereo inputs on the back of the TX-SR393 receiver. If the turntable does not have an internal preamp, then you would need to use a standalone phono preamplifier between the turntable and the TX-SR393 receiver, like BH #BEVP549 or B&H # ROVP29 for example.

Q: 4. can this support only one subwoofer (5.1) or are the subwoofers in stereo?

A: A subwoofer does not necessarily need to be plugged to the receiver but it will offer more Bass if the other speakers you are connecting do not provide that much lower end. A center speaker will be required if you are looking to utilize the 5.2 Channel Surround Set up for Home Theater purposes. [AM, FM] I bought this receiver to replace my 20+ yo Onkyo TX-NR900 that finally gave out on me. I took another reviewer's advice by going with the NR6100 over a higher model because they said the extra 20 watts was not worth paying twice as much. Plus, there was no need to have 9.2-channels just to play records in my den. I'm very happy I did because this receiver is every bit a worthy 2023 successor to my old, trusty, NR900. It does everything I need and more! The built-in bluetooth is nice and having a central hub that connects all of your devices via HDMI really helps organize your entertainment options. I haven't even explored wireless speaker options yet and looking forward to streaming some tunes to the back porch.

Before buying this receiver, I tried with a Denon DRA-800H and it was a disaster. I'm thankful for B&H's return policy and would definitely purchase from them again.

[AM, FM] Bought the 6100 to be the heart of a Klipsch RP-600M II 2.1 home theater & 2 channel music system. It works very well at this (discounted) price point. I added two Klipsch SPL-100 10" subwoofers (50% discount).
Equalization for these speakers is designed into this AV receiver. Really impressive system at this price point.

[5.2.2] For the first time I really feel as though my system is performing at the level it should. Moved up from an Onkyo 6100 and have had several surround systems from Denon and others over the years. Last system I moved to a 5.1.2 setup. It didn't really pop until the RZ50.

[4 to 16 Ohms] I've been a Onkyo fan for years!
Have always trusted them and I've always been happy with the quality of their equipment!

Buying it from B&H just made the entire process so much better!!
Onkyo and B&H the only thing you need to know when it comes to Home Theatre

Thank you

[40 Stations] This has lots of juice and so far we are seeing no reason to biamp. Dirac works as advertised. Great purchase.

[25.855 lb] Recently I had a disastrous power burn out which. affected ALL circuit systems including my favorite stereo receivers. As an artist, music is an essential part of my production projects- working with NO receiver is like spaghetti with no sauce.Within 3 days you saved my life the Onkyo receiver saved my creative life! Thank You!!

[4K120p] Unit is easy to start using but powerful and capable. Highly recommended.

[AM, FM] I compared this side by side a Denon 3800h expecting the Denon to win..
I was very wrong, the soundstage created by this receiver was seamless and more coherent than anything I ever got with years using Denon receivers with Audyssey xt32!
The whole sound has more body as well even without having tweak the curves after calibration like you must do with Denon.
It's missing auro3d but I don't like that anyway. Get a miniDSP if you need control over more than one sub not collocated and enjoy amazing sound!
