The Bright Tangerine Drumstix 15mm Titanium Rod 4"is suitable for mounting an EVF bracket or other single rod accessories to your rig without adding significant weight, something every owner, operator, assistant, and rental house will appreciate. This single 4" long support rod is extremely lightweight yet exhibits less flex than carbon fiber rods of the same length, and it is lighter than either steel or aluminum rods while being at least as rigid and strong. Made from titanium, the rod is corrosion resistant, and it is machined and ground flat to prevent binding as you mount accessories.

Each titanium rod is machined and ground flat to within a tolerance of 2 microns, which prevents accessories from binding when sliding on the rod. The strength, hardness, and machining tolerances of the rod eliminate the need for the time-honored tradition of spinning the support rod in the rod clamp when trying to build the camera package.

Each rod is extremely lightweight, making it well suited for use with drones or in handheld configurations.

The stiffness of each rod means you can confidently use it to support heavy lenses and matte boxes loaded with filters without worrying about the rod flexing.

A: For the Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 KASBAH Shoulder Pad + 15mm LWS/15mm Studio Handle Kit, we would only recommend using the Bright Tangerine Leftfield baseplates, as each part is specifically designed to work with the Leftfield ecosystem. While other dovetail clamps, may work with one or 2 parts, they likely will not connect properly with the mounting screws for the shoulder pad.

Q: 2. What does the bottom mount onto? BUD or is it Arri standard dovetail?

A: The Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 ARRI BUD Compatible 15mm LWS Baseplate Core is designed to mount onto ARRI BUD Standard Dovetails.

Q: 3. Do you have any recommendations on using this with a shoulder pad or mount? I have the version with 15mm rails.

Q: 4. Do I need this bracket for Misfit, if I m using 15mm LW correct height?

A: The bare minimum, clip-on MisFit matte box requires the Bright Tangerine Lightweight Rod Bracket Type 4 for Misfit plus the Bright Tangerine 15mm Lightweight Rod Bracket Type 3 in order to be mounted on 15mm or 19mm rods.

A: The Bright Tangerine KASBAH Ātman Shoulder Rig Frame uses a BUD-compatible dovetail that will work with BUD plates; Manfrotto plates are not compatible.

A: The Bright Tangerine Standard Riser for 15mm Baseplate for RED KOMODO & KOMODO-X is compatible with the Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 15mm LWS Quick Release Baseplate Core.

Q: 8. Does this riser plate have 1/4 20 or 3/8 16 threaded holes on the bottom for direct attachment to a tripod plate with using the additional Bright Tangerine cage? Thanks

A: Yes the dove tail on the bottom does have multiple 1/4. 20 and 3/8 holes for mounting onto a trip pod

A: There aren't very many options for using counterweights on the Bright Tangerine Riser Kit for 15mm Baseplate for DJI RS 2/RS 3 and RED KOMODO. It's usually always front heavy and needing weight in the back that can be added with access to a camera cage. [4.5 x 1 x 0.75"] Expensive but you get what you pay. These are made to highest of standards and the 19mm rods are deceptively light weight. Especially if you've ever used stainless steel 19mm rods. Despite the very low weight, these still feel very strong. 5

[15 mm] So light and strong, can support anything you throw at it. The difference is weight between standard Arri rods and these are insane. You shed a lot of weight. Doesn't feel cheap in the slightest. Well built. 5

[0.06 lb] I've got nearly every length of these multiple pairs for multiple camera packages in some lengths. I used to have all the nickel plated Element Technica rods...they were light and strong...these are also light and strong. No flexing problems like with some of the carbon fibre rods. 5
