[0.295 lb] I mainly got this as I noted that birds would spook with my zoom lens. It was easy to set up. Like other reviewers stated, you cannot add the piece for the moving part of the zoom unless you want this fixed. I mainly got this to not spook the birds and it is sufficient.

[Neoprene] When you pay $12,000 for a lens, you want to do all you can to protect it. LensCoat lens covers are the real deal. This is the third super telephoto lens I have covered with a LensCoat cover. All the pieces were cut to fit and the assembly process was quick and painless. Everything fit as it was intended. When you use a lens that is almost two feet long, it tends to get bumped from time to time. The LensCoat cover does an excellent job of protecting the lens from scratches and dings. I recently sold a lens that had been protected with a LensCoat cover. When the cover was removed, the lens looked like it did the day it was purchased. Besides protection, the LensCoat cover provides camouflage and a warm touch on cold days. I would not use a long telephoto without it.

[0.295 lb] I purchased the lens cover for two reasons. First it provides protection to the surface of the lens. Second I do wildlife photography and need my equipment camouflaged. It was very easy to place over the lens and looks good.

[0.295 lb] I decided to protect my new lens with a Lenscoat tree pattern cover. Well, if you have strong hands, installation would be easy. Hands with arthritis is another story. I did get it put on lens but it took some time. I left the last piece off as I often use the polarizing filter. All in all it serves a good purpose and looks pretty good out in the Everglades.

[0.295 lb] Good way to protect the lens and barrel from minor dings and bumps. Looks good too. Takes a little time to work the pieces onto the lens barrel and get into position, but looks good and stays in place.

[0.295 lb] Used it the other day on my lens while using the wire on a fence to stabilize better. Had no fear of acquiring any scratches

[0.295 lb] This lens is hard to fit because of all the rotating pieces, but this cover does a great job. I bought it to replace the one by lenscoat (and get a darker color). It was designed with care, with cutouts so you can see the zoom setting and operate the switches directly instead of through clear plastic. I suppose the weather protection of the switches won't be as good, but operation is much easier. It is still slippery on the outside like lenscoat, so I will need to add rubber bands for better grip. It's a more thoughtful design and a better product, at a much better price.

[0.295 lb] Typical of LensCoat, this one fits great on my son's Panasonic lens. The quality seems good, and it's comfortable in the hand.
