[65 Wh] Bought 2 batteries and the SWIT charging unit for my DVX-200. I do not regret this purchase. Along with the reliability, the multi-functionality of the battery itself is very handy. I've used the USB connection to power my ZOOM recorder while connected to a sound board during live events. It saves me loads on AA batteries.

[0.8 lb] I own two BMPCC6K Pro cameras so having this dummy battery is a wonderful tool as a back up or as a main source of power.

The main benefit of this dummy battery is that it allows me to add it to my multiple D-Tap adaptor that has several ports. This becomes a space saver as I often run several tools such as my monitor and on camera lights through my v-mount battery.


The quality of this feels on par with any of its competitors and given this dummy battery's light weight and small size this is a part of my day to day kit.

[Sony L-Series] Always wanted to charge my phone off of one of those beefy anton bauer gold mounts. Haven't had the opportunity yet... but one day.

[Lithium-Ion] This is a great thing to have in your kit. Like most of you, I use L-Series NP-F batteries a lot because so many accessories use them (lights, monitors etc..). Heck, even some cameras use N-PF's. And although I love the NP-F batteries, being able to power these accessories with a longer lasting v-mount battery is wonderful. This little dummy battery is a total game-changer. It lets you power your monitor, light, or even your camera using a separate, professional D-Tap battery. Seriously, it’s a lifesaver when you need that extra juice for your gear. No more worrying about your battery dying in the middle of a shoot!
A nice feature is the built-in regulator. It can handle up to 16.8V input with an 8.2V output, which is perfect for keeping your equipment running smoothly and keeping everything safe.
The coiled cable is another nice and thoughtful feature. It stretches up to 24 inches, giving you plenty of flexibility to position your video rig just the way you like it without being tethered too tightly to your power source. It’s super handy, especially when you need a bit more room to maneuver, but also coils back up nice and small, when you don't. I like that. The cord and connections also seem well made to me. It should last a long time.

Overall, I'm very happy with this dummy battery from Watson. It’s been reliable, versatile, and makes managing my power sources a breeze. I feel it is a must-have on everyone's kit. [65 Wh] I use the Watson D-Tap Dummy Battery with our Sony FX3 and a7siii and it makes longer shoot days a breeze.

On days when we are doing nonstop interviews, this adapter shines. I can usually get through the day with one v-mount battery vs 3-4 OG batteries. It is a time saver on set for sure. I've used it on 2-3 shoots thus far and I haven't had any issues.


I can see this being amazing once I get one of those block cage rigs for the fx3. Overall, I'm impressed.
