Q: 1. I'm using the Pearstone 4.2 (10.7cm) Articulating Arm to mount a Tascam dr70 onto a Sony a7S Camera Rig ES-T16. I have mounted a video light and external monitor to the 2 shoe mounts. I don't see a way to mount the Tascam into one of the holes in the cage without having to turn the whole arm (rather than being able to tighten the knob to secure the male end of the screw into the hole). What am I missing? thanks!

A: You have it right. You have to turn the whole arm into the screw hole, tighten it, then adjust the arm using the large knob.

Q: 2. Is focus pull direction reversed when the gear is moved to the opposite side of the gearbox?

A: pull direction will be the same when you move it to the other side. And getting it swapped to the other side take only 3-5 seconds.

Q: 3. does this come with a clamp?

A: No. But it works as promised. Great value.

Q: 4. whats the hole/thread size for 15mm rod, i need to extend them but the 15mm rods i bought off of amazon doesn't fit them?

A: The hole/thread size is 15mm.

Q: 5. Will this work with any cine lens?

A: As long as the lens offers 0.8 pitch gearing or the lens gear offers 0.8 pitch gearing you can have the follow focus interface with the lens.

Q: 6. Will this unit work with L-Series Canon lenses and this rig:https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1030836-REG/shape_c100_of_canon_c100_c300_offset_rig.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1030836-REG/shape_c100_of_canon_c100_c300_offset_rig.html/aIs there anything else I'd need for this rig? Thanks in advance.

A: Everything you need will come in the kit. Basically an adjustable gear ring for non-cine lenses.

Q: 7. Can I use this arm with a Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp? I am attaching a FeelWorld L7 7" monitor.

A: Yes, the CAMVATE 11" Articulating Arm would have a 1/4-20 screw attachment that could work with a Manfrotto SuperClamp. However, there is another Camvate arm with clamp included: CAMVATE Crab Clamp with Magic Arm (Upgraded Locking Lever) BH #CAC2791 - https://bhpho.to/3J6LZw3

Q: 8. I lost the black socket screw that fastens the L-shaped arm to the gear box. What is the size of this screw?

A: I'm sorry to say that it sounds like you need a Service Part which would be obtained from LanParte directly. For further assistance with this feel free to email us at ask@bandh.com.

Q: 9. Does this have a quarter inch mount on the bottom?

A: Yes

Q: 10. What keeps the ball joints from slipping?

A: The ball joints has spikey "teeth" that helps the joints tighten securely without slipping.

[Aluminum] I have had this one for 3 years now. It's solid and well made. You can lock it down quickly without having to slide it off the 15mm rods. Nice textured knob adds a confident feel. There is also an optional whip (2 lengths available) or a handle for pulling focus that locks into the end of the knob. Definitely get a lens support for use with longer lenses. I feel that this follow focus is a great option at this price point.

[1.1 lb] Bought these rods and i love that they are smooth coated, lightweight and don't scratch. Not much more to say except these would be rods of choice should i need to buy more.

[1.1 lb] I use this on my Canon HF G10 video camera. It has proven itself to be very usable to stabilize video shoots with it. The size lends itself to be very controllable without the use of counter weights of other systems. Certainly the counter weight systems are useful in many if not all situations however if those systems are too cumbersome or restrictive then this is one to use. The Canon HF G10 uses a flash drive so it is not a heavy camera making it easy for this grip to handle. The single hand-grip is made of sturdy molded plastic and the attachment and pivot points are well made with a mix of chrome plated high tensile steel and high carbon steel where they count. This type of hand grip is very hard to come by as a lot of available hand grips are either part of a counter weight system or mounting system for lights, microphones, etc. In summary this is a well made, high quality single purpose accessory that deserves support from the motion and still photography community. It is easy to use and its cost is very reasonable in considering its quality. I am a firm believer in the saying that you pay for what you get. The only thing wrong about this item is that it is not always available for immediate purchase. A possible testament to its popularity? Perhaps.

[1.1 lb] I liked this 19-15 adaptor. Im steadicam operator and all my brackets are Jerry Hill. sometimes is difficult fit the motor on the lens and when I saw this, I realiza you can change the measure of the rods. I used twice since I bought and it works.

[Aluminum] I think this is my first B&H product review... I'm writing it because I'm so happy with this thing. I've used the Red Rock follow focus for years. Took a chance on this one, wasn't sure what I'd get at the lower price point. Was surprised to find that (in my opinion) it's better than the more expensive Red Rock. A bit firmer and very smooth. All of the tightening mechanism are well-made and the hard stops are a nice feature. You can operate without the hard stops if you wish to. Totally recommend this little guy.
