[Leica M] I've had this lens for four days and I love it. When lenses are said to produce a vintage look this lens is what it's all about. Beautiful soft contrast and tonal values. I feel as though I have travelled back in time to my first Leica (an M3 in the 70s loaded with panatomic-X). With a few tweaks in Lightroom you can bring the images to the present, but why would you want to do that? It would be erasing the wonderful personality of this tiny, well=built jewel.

[37 mm (Front)] The moment TTArtisan announced black brass version of this lens, I preordered it. I was pleasantly surprised by its build quality and the spring loaded infinity focus lock. It feels great when I mount it on my M-E Typ 240 and M6 bodies. Image quality is good too. Wide open doesn't vignette too much. This would be my standard point and shoot lens in broad daylight.

[Full-Frame] The sharpness of this lens is amazing! Compare to Leica Apo Summicron-90mm, the sharpness at maximum aperture is exactly the same. I am using these two lenses on M11.

[28mm] I owned the Leitz summaron which this is copied after. I sold it because I thought it was too soft. This lens for about 1/10th the price was soft as well, but, stopping it down to f16 really helped and it had a very pleasing old world style. I'm keeping my elmarit and using this lens for just knocking around. It feels just as good as the leitz. My only complaint was that the paint was chipped on the black lens hood out of the box. Worth the money.

[Manual Focus] For less than one tenth the price of the Leica Summaron it's a ridiculous great deal

[28mm] Solid build. Sharp wide open (with some vignetting). Straight lines. Third place behind Leica Summicron ASPH and Voigtlander Ultron ASPH v2. Great compliment to APO 50/2 VM and Leica Tele-Elmarit-M 90/2.8 - light trio - when we're not shooting 24/3.8, 35/1.4, 75/2. Nice boxed set with push-on front & rear caps, plus rectangular push-on (tighten screw) hood. Highly recommended.

[Full-Frame] The finish and package are excellent and pay attention to details. Other than slow f5.6 aperture, it is a modern lens worth to try and own.
