A: In place of the canister, the film is wrapped in lightproof paper. Unlike 35 mm film, when you load the film into the camera, you are not holding the film in your hand; instead, you are attaching a piece of lightproof paper to the spool. Once you close the camera back, you advance that roll of paper until, depending on the type of medium format camera you are using, you reach the beginning of the film.

Q: 2. How long does this film need to be developed in the darkroom?

A: My friend this film behaves pretty much like any other B&W film, and personal preferences upon what final results you may be looking for will determine dark room procedures. Delta 100 has a great and well balanced contrast range. If you are looking normal B&W results, and with standard developers at normal 72-75 degrees ambient temp, I will suggest 10 to 12 minutes, agitating (more like soft shaking..not a bartender kind) 10 seconds at each 2 minutes interval then leave the tank upside down the next 2 minutes and agitate again when you put it up (two min upside down, two min up) and repeat until the 10 to 12 minutes are gone. So, let's say if you did use 10 minutes procedure, you will agitate 5 times total with a 50 seconds (10 sec x 5 times) at each inversion. Remember that more agitation, the more contrast you will get, and the more time means pushing the exposure. I hope this may work for you, let me know.!!!

A: I would not try to personally develop this film. There are professional labs that still develop it in c-41 chemistry. A: Hi, to answer your question, I would say yes. Any film rated higher than 400iso/asa is going to be subject to film fogging or color shift from X-ray. Many airlines and companies tell you that x-ray does not destroy or degrade your film but this is a complete lie. I use film exclusively and have traveled through many countries and can tell you first hand even at iso100 there is a risk of degradation. I always carry a lead bag that I store my film in if needing to pass through x ray, and always ask that the film be hand checked. They have swabs that can detect any traces of whatever it is they may be looking for without opening your film. I am not sure where overseas you are but in Europe ILFORD is the leading film distributor and in many places such as Central and South America, and parts of Africa, if you are in the main hubs such as the main developed cities they will most often have a film store you can get your hands on this film.
