A: These batteries are compatible with your lights, however, they are low capacity you may want to purchase larger capacity batteries (such as NP-F770s or NPF-970s that have 4400 or 6600mAh capacity) as they will last much longer.

Q: 6. Will this power a Sony HVR-S270? I'm not sure if I can use a 12V battery for the 270 or if it has to be a 14.4V.

A: This battery may work with the Sony HVR-S270, however with the output being lower than the camera's needs I would not recommend it. For another solution IndiPRO tools has an inexpensive V-Mount Battery and Charger kit that you can use directly on the camera. This will work and it will be a bit more convenient to set up.

[0.47 lb] We are a micro budget documentary company and needed light, low heat accurate lighting for interviews. They are perfect. You don't really need weights for the light stands as they are heavier than the lights. Great output, cool to the touch and no radiated heat. I concur the cases are a bit cheap feeling but the lights themselves are excellent quality. To be able to dim them so easily is a huge plus. Just don't expect to be getting a Arri light set for this price. 5

[0.47 lb] Sub $400. Honestly expected to get them, and send them back. Just wanted to see if they could possibly be worth it...Answer is yes, for the price. I compared these 2 lights to my colleauges $1000 LED, and while his were brighter, my color was much closer to daylight. I glued little magnets on all four corners for an easy way to throw gel tints on there, quick mod that I think everyone should consider. Lightweight, the stands are a little shaky, but if you sand bag, you should be ok. 5

[0.47 lb] The color temperature is realy high (light is a bit too white) but you can easily unscrew the plastic transluscent cover and replace it by one of your own (or you can stick an orange gel color filter in its inner part) The thing I like the most is its really light wheight. Mechanically speaking, the tripods are very simple (i don't know if they will last long) and the light boxes can be easily unscrewed and their electronic parts are easily accessible in case they have to be fixed. The ac/dc converser is very light and small too and it's in the cable (not in the lit panel) 5

[0.47 lb] I just received this kit and have to say I am very impressed. Easy set up, I used it for photo and video.Very bright and long lasting with the supplied batteries.Also has the ability to be used with supplied ac adaptors. So far so good! 5
