Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the auto focus for video smooth?

A: Yes, the lens has smooth focusing for video. If there is rapid movement, the lens may have to catch up to the action, but for steady movement or predictable movement, the Rokinon AF 14mm f/2.8 Lens for Canon EF lens provides decent video autofocus performance.

Q: 2. Is this for the F mount version of the lens? The photos show the F mount lens.

A: There is the Kase Rear Lens ND Filter Kit for Nikon 14-24mm, BH # KARKN1424 which is for the Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G lens. https://bhpho.to/2Z0hHEy

Q: 3. Is the aperture ring with click ?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. Will it Work for shooting video? I want it to put it con a A7Sii and a ZHIYUN Crane

A: Yes this lens can be used for shooting video on the A7S II while it is mounted on a Zhiyun Crane stabilizer.

Q: 5. How is the auto focus with the EOS R in video, is it solid?

A: So far, we have not heard any negative feedback on the AF performance of this lens on the EOS R when shooting video.

Q: 6. Is it possible to mount a ring light on the front of lens? I assume it would require a step-up ring,

A: Unfortunately, it is not possible to mount a ringlight to the TTArtisans AF 32mm f/2.8 Lens for Nikon Z.

Q: 7. Does anybody use this this lens on a Canon 7D (not Mark II)? My lens does not properly focus at all and I wonder if it's defective or simply it's not compatible.

A: I have this lens and a 7d and it seems to focus fine for me.

Q: 8. How many photos do i need to make a 360 photo with this lens? I have the doubt cause of it is a diagonal 180 degree lens

A: While it does have a 180-degree of view, it also has some distortion. so realistically. I would take about 10 and stitch them together. You could do 4 shots, but it might not come tougher in post.

Q: 9. Does the lens still need to be updated to use with the Sony A7III? The lens station is 120.00. GRRRRRrrrrrrr

A: This lens would contain the most current firmware to date for use with cameras such as the Sony A7 III.

Q: 10. Will this lens work properly on a Nikon D500?

A: Yes, the Rokinon AF 14mm f/2.8 Lens for Nikon F would be fully compatible for use with the Nikon D500 DSLR camera.

[f/2.8] This was my first manual focus lens ever. Looking for inspiration to break out of my uncreative funk! This lens did the trick. Super wide and super fun. Manual focus was easy after a few minutes I was pretty much nailing everything I was shooting. Kept a few with the fisheye lens in post production, and a few I ended up collecting and cropping to use the super wide look without the fisheye lens look. Sharp lens, very good quality, and I think a very good value. Solid construction, all metal body, and just feels good in your hand. All around I would recommend this to anyone looking for a super wide manual focus or just to try something outside of your usual comfort zone.

[f/2.8] This is a fun lens to own. Full manual control can be challenging but it is not that hard honestly if you keep at it and learn the nuances that makes a lens like this really shine. 11 mm is 180 degree field of view and you can get some really interesting shots with this. Plan for some correction in post to smooth out the distortion that comes with any fisheye lens.

I put this lens on more often than I thought I would and I really dig the different looking shots you can get. Shooting in portrait at 11mm makes for some photos that you are just not going to see many of. I like to do funky things and break the rules....and this lens, for this price, is worth the investment in my opinion.

[f/2.8] The price of fun has rarely been this reasonable! I got my lens quickly from B&H and it has spent a surprising amount of time on my R5. The focus peaking works great. Given the tremendous depth of field with this lens, it's a great intro for anyone curious to try a manual focusing lens. I'm exploring how to exploit the lens and find it especially good for patterns- lights, ice formations, and look forward to wildflowers this summer. The lens is well built. It is solid, but not awkwardly heavy. Easily fits in my coat pocket to bring along on walks for times when subjects present themselves. You will want to have this lens with you. The more you use it, the more you will see ways to use it.

[Nikon Z] Hi Z system users, This is the 1st third party autofocus lens i got for the z6II. the main reasons I purchased the lens are because of compact size, cheaper price and unique looks. There are few things I found after a week of usage and a couple of photoshoot.
1. The lens is as expected. It has excellent build quality, Unique form factor. Well work the price.
2. Lens performance very well. It has very silent auto focus and good image quality, It is quite usable wide open at F 2.8. I didn't run any scientific test but it looks perfectly fine for portraits. Lens flare is an obvious drawback for this lens, The moment you have any bright object or light source in your frame it will give lots of flare and cause hazy images. Something to be keeping mind while shooting. Also images turn out to be a little less contrasty compared to S lenses, But this should be easy fix in post processing.
3. This is a modern lens with ability to update software Via a micro USB port on the side. I wish the lens came with type C and also clearer instructions on how to check and update software. Also there was no cable in the Box which makes it hard to find a data transferable suitable micro USB Cable. Having said that the lens came with the most updated software out of the Box.
4. Lightroom already has lense presets for this this lense, wasn't expecting that. This takes care of light fall off issues you may experience.
5. During the shoot, it behaved like nikon lenses with no hiccups, except I felt it takes fraction of second extra time to see image preview after waking up your camera.
6. Overall this is an excellent purchase. 32mm is an excellent focal length. It works at 48mm in dx mode. Excellent walk around prime. Give it a try. Happy shooting.

[69°] I love this lens. It's one of my favs for landscape and environmental portraits. With the focus peaking on the Z, you can be confident in focusing without auto focus. My lens had an issue where the ring sections had become loose when I went to use it this spring. I contacted the folks at TTartisan and the engineers sent me a few pics and I was able to just tighten up the screws myself. Great cust service and you cannot beat the value with this.

[27 mm (Front)] This lens returns me to the old days of zone focusing primes. There is a certain freedom in that. Because this fisheye is not a full-circle type fisheye, but a full-corner with barrel distortion it is easier to use in a larger variety of situations.
This isn't the world's champion sharp lens but is more than sharp enough, especially with low to moderate sharpening, to look good for just about any shot.
This may give you a small start if you are used to manual lenses with the informational and focusing-aid chip but you will get used to it in no time. You can see the effect of the f-stop as you change the aperture. So that is very direct, and, as I noted, zone focusing frees you up, especially because of the depth of field at 11mm.
I do like the lens. A lot. And it makes a more compact form than my Tonkina 16-28 with lens adapter (which is much sharper on its own) and also far, far lighter to carry.
At the price ($200+) it is more than worth getting. This is a can't really go wrong lens.
NOTE: I tried to upload a couple of full-size JPGs but caught errors. So I'm stuck with web size (900 pixels max side length) so you can't really see how good the detail is (though it does need a tad bit of sharpening).

[69°] so happy with this lens. it performs like a much more expensive lens. it feels solid and all the connections and moving parts are well engineered. very happy with the wide angles i can capture and how clear they come out. it is all manual and you will have to play with it a bit to get the focus just so, but once you find the sweet spot, it is remarkably sharp. highly recommended lens.

[Autofocus] Picked up this lens for some fun street photography shots. Unreal craftsmanship at a stupid low price. Win/win for fun wide shots.

[7] I wasn't expecting a whole ton but like other reviewers, this little lens is very underrated and people should try it! It's not a circular fisheye which I wanted but also it was a last-minute purchase to see if it will work with shooting astrophotography. I did de-fish the image and there are soft corners and some coma but for the price, I cannot complain. But during the day, shooting things up close, the image is ridiculously sharp as is without any correction. I was quite surprised!

I've seen people do real estate photography and as long as you know how to correct the image including the elongated objects in the foreground, this can be a cheap way to take a simple ultrawide shot and correct it in post.

Compared to Laowa's rectilinear 10mm lens, yes, you'll have to correct these 11mm images afterward but you cannot beat the quality for the price.

As for astrophotography, I feel it's fine for quick captures and have fun with it but if you're going for sharp and crisp coma-free stars, I would probably shoot with fast 24mm and stitch in post. The astro was shot at ISO 4000, f/2.8, and for 30 seconds. I didn't do any flat, bias, and dark images for stacking. This area in NH is Bortle 2 darkness so the light pollution was minimal. This lens does make it easier not having to capture so many images but the details definitely aren't like from shooting with a regular wide-angle lens. This is perfectly normal, of course.

In either case, I'm very happy and worth exploring with it more!
