Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What's the difference between the f-802 and the f-803?

A: The F-802 is quite a bit larger than the F-803. The front pockets are bigger, and the 802 will take a 15 laptop, compared to only a 13 max in the 803.The 802 has no internal padded compartments, whereas the 803 has a single square tall compartment. the 802 also has a separate front divider between the front pockets and the main compartment.I use my F-802 for my 15 macbook pro, and an iPad Air II, + charger, cables, etc. The F-803 is for m4/3 mirrorless camera(s), and a few small primes

Q: 2. Will this viewfinder work on a JVC LS300 lcd screen?

A: While it is not made for that camcorder the LS300 does have the same size of a screen as the original Pocket Cinema Camera, which is 3.5 inches. It should work on the JVC LS300 as well.

Q: 3. can i put in this bag 13 laptop?

A: I have a 13 MacBook Pro and it fits inside the bag, but you have to remove the lens pouch

Q: 4. Can I use a dtap to lemo 2 pin cable ? If not, what kind of 2pin connection does it have ?

A: It is a proprietary plug this link has a menu for battery plate type options. https://bhpho.to/2Tk52ul

Q: 5. Will it fit Sony PXW Fs5 screen?

A: This is for the original Pocket Cinema Camera. We are not aware of this working with an FS5.

Q: 6. Will this work with the Canon C70?

A: No it will not.

Q: 7. how do you tell the difference in the 2 diffusers that come with the light? They look identical to me

A: One of the diffusers is a 60 degree beam the other is a 90 degree beam. You should be able to tell them apart by looking at the light spread.

Q: 8. what are the inside dimensions of this bag? thanks!

A: Mackie does not provide specific internal dimensions for the Mackie Bag for 802-VLZ3 Mixer, however we can make a good estimate based on the size of the mixer it is designed for. The Mackie 802-VLZ3 Compact Mixer measures 10.7 x 8.9 x 1.8", and the interior dimensions of this bag should only be slightly larger.

Q: 9. Will this viewfinder work with the LCD screen on the Blackmagic 4K Ursa?

A: It will not. This is for the original Pocket Cinema Camera which has a 3.5" screen. The Ursa 4K has a 10.1" screen while the Ursa Mini 4K has a 5" screen. It is too small for either.

Q: 10. Will this product work with the Ikan VL35 4k monitor? I know there is a viewfinder specific designed by Ikan for that monitor, but I want to know if this could be an alternative.

A: This viewfinder is for the 3.5" screen on the Blackmagic Pocket Camera. The ikan VL35 also has a 3.5" screen so theoretically it should work. Let us know how it turns out.

[40°] It is an amazing light for the price. It is super bright. Shadows have some weird patterns if diffuser is not used. Also you can't tell which diffuser is half or full.

[40°] At first I was skeptical about the fact that a light smaller than it’s competition is promising those output figures (20,000 LUX at 1m) But after taking the leap and buying one, boy was I astonished by the results.

I love the fact that this fixture is bi-color and has such a high output, meaning I don’t have to worry about the setting I’m working in, as I can always adjust the light and the intensity accordingly. Never do I have to worry about the logistics and the weather conditions of a certain shoot anymore, as I can always pair up the fixture with a water resistant battery, set up the light and scene, and when needed, adjust the light from a distance from my smartphone (this feature has come in handy so many times when the light is mounted high up on a c-stand).

Even though the fixture is slightly heavier than the Litepanels Astra 6X, I understand that in order to achieve the weatherproof rating that it has, it needs to have some compromises (in this case an all aluminum housing that acts as a heatsink in order to cool the light), but the in my opinion the benefits that come with it - completely silent, dust and water resistant, outweigh the only downside.

In my opinion the higher price point is worth the investment, as this will probably be the only panel light that you need!

[Yes] This is an essential piece to my lighting kit. I highly recommend for quick setups.

[Fabric] I'd held off buying one of these because they are so pricey - by the time you've added the modifiers an Astra is an expensive light. But it's a really great way of controlling spill and I'm happy I got it eventually. Stays in the kit box!

[Yes] This is a must have for the Snapgrid Octa box. Iâ€ve fit it several times and the grid is always about 1-2 inches too big. It still works just fine, but not sure if it was measured wrong. Cuts spill light by 40 degrees. Works great!!

[40°] I've been using a pair of these with Astera Titan's - SNAPGRID does make a version that fits those tubes more appropriately but I do like the fact that I can use them with quasars and kino flo tubes if I wanted to.

I also have two Honeycrates that are made specifically for the Astera Titans - they too are great! Now, I actually prefer each for different reasons. With the SNAPGRID if feels much more rigid and the dividers keep their shape better. I have to do a test to be sure, but I felt like the SNAPGRID, because of it's better rigidity, helped to keep exposure levels higher.

This could entirely be in my mind, only doing a meter test will reveal - but the Honeycrates felt a little more loose.
