The Haida 49mm NanoPro Mist Black 1/4 Filterfrom Haida 49mm NanoPro Mist Black 1/4 Filtercreates a more cinematic look by gently reducing contrast and sharpness across the entire image area. The effect reduces harsh highlights and softens fine details, also making skin tones smoother and more even.

The filter's slim design allows it to be used on wide-angle lenses without vignetting. This optical glass filter features multicoating on both sides for optimal light transmission and reduced glare, plus a resistance coating that repels water, oil, fingerprints, scratches, and abrasions. The filter ring has front threads for use with additional filters, hoods, or lens caps.

[Glass] For the money, I think this is a great filter. I particularly like the fit and finish and that it is very thin. I use it on one of the new Hasselblad X lenses and it's perfect, unobtrusive.

[49 mm] My Nikon Z 50mm f1.8 S lens was too clinical for some types of photo situations. Adding just a little bit of character to a photo to fit the overall theme, without losing any sharpness.

[Aluminum] After going through the reviews and comparisons, I decided to go with the Haida Clear Night filter. I bought the 67mm for use with my Sony 24mm f1.4 GM. First test was at Ft. Griffin which is a very dark site but you still get some light pollution on the horizon. What made me a believer in this filter was when I a couple photos, both with and without filter, as I was setting up. A quick view in the evf showed a dramatic difference between the two shots. As some have said, you do get more blue cast to the night sky, but I really like that look. And I can warm up whichever elements I want should I want to do that. All told a really nice LP filter. I liked it so much I purchased a 77mm version for other lenses.
