Q: 6. Is the mount on the 393 compatible with arca-type plates?

A: No, its different, The Manfrotto QR plate is their own design, slide in only and has a saftey lock. Its 55MM wide. The ArcaSwiss plate is 38MM wide. Sliding in a heavy lens moves the inner Gimbal, so i drilled a hole into the outer frame and i lock the two together for mounting and un-mounting the heavy lens ( s Minolta 600 lens ). I also placed a inner star washer in each top knob to enable more locking pressure on the inner Gimbal.

[Black] I frequently move ball heads, or fluid video heads from one tripod to another, or back and forth from monopod to a tripod. These Release plates, along with the Manfrotto Move base, makes switching quick and secure.

[0.705 lb] If you have a manfrotto head (501, 501 PL or 504) is very importan To have a quick release plate 7 because it allows us to mount different lenses and to keep a perfect balance in our tripod
Sometimes we have remove the camera from the tripod in order to put back later, before we looked at the scale and recorded in our minds the number it was in and that helps when we put it back on the tripod.
Es muy bueno para balancear correctamente las cámaras sobre los trípodes

[Black] This addition to the float system allows you to distribute half of the load to your shoulders instead of the entire weight sitting on your hips and low back. A must have, it should come with the original Tilta Float System.

[Black] Pretty straight forward, and that’s definitely a play on words. Does a great job of allowing additional front to back movement of your video camera on a Manfrotto video tripod head. Has built it safety stops and when combined with a V-Lock plate, makes for an ideal and secure camera mounting solution. Well made in the typical Manfrotto style.

[Black] Yes, I have that horrible first-world problem of not wanting to unscrew mounts from my tripod every time I want to switch them. I have one heavy-duty tripod (an Induro), and three mounts: A regular ball head, a Benro Polaris astronomy mount, and a binocular mount. The Manfrotto MOVE makes it ridiculously fast and simple to switch mounts, and I'm grateful to Manfrotto for fixing my first-world problem, so I can focus (pun intended) on more important things.
