The blue, small Bubblebee Spacer Cover for Windshield - Blue, Smallis a fur cover designed to slip over The Spacer Bubble windshield size small, and fit perfectly. Made of high-quality, high-density short-haired faux-fur, it allows for optimal frequency transparency and effective wind protection when recording outdoors in light-to-medium winds.

Constructed with a sturdy leather brim, the Spacer Cover stays firmly in place when it is mounted. The inside is made of a durable polyester mix, allowing the cover to quickly and easily slide onto the Spacer Bubble base, so you can adapt to on-location changing-wind conditions in just seconds. [Faux Fur] Using this with the 416 and it simply rocks. Boom pole noise is almost totally resolved when moving. The short fur is good enough for most situations. 5

[Faux Fur] The Bubblebee Windshield w/ short fur worked fabulously with my Cmit 5u. I took it on job in the woods & it canceled the breeze completely. It did not muffle whispering dialog at all (actually seemed to enhance it). I thought the price was more than reasonable compared to competitors price. Strongly recommend! 5

[Faux Fur] The bottom has an elastic strap which slides between the foam and the mount so the dead kitten covers the SMX-30 fully. Works well in windy conditions. 5

[1] I am not an audio specialist, the tests I have done with regular wind have attenuated the noise quite a bit, although if the wind is strong it can be heard. It gives a very good presence and should be placed over the foam of the microphone. No soy un especialista en audio las pruebas que le he hecho con viento regular ha atenuado bastante el ruido aunque si el viento es fuerte si se escucha. Da muy buena precencia y se debe poer encima del foam del microfono 5

[1] I have a Benro Mammoth TMTH34C Carbon Fiber Tripod and use a Benro GD3WH gear head on a 75mm quick leveling bowl. The problem I had was making side-to-side and, at times, up and down adjustments to my composures. The base of the gear head was not tall enough to “clear” the spider plate and top of legs which meant I’d have to reposition the tripod. Even the quick leveling base was impacted because the gear head knobs didn’t have enough clearance. It was time wasting and frustrating - especially at night shooting Aurora, Milky Way and our most recent comet! This extension was the fix! Solidly built and not too tall to be impacting stability, it saved me from looking at other tripod/head options or going back to my ballhead (which I no longer like to use). Why Benro didn’t just include this as part of their gear head design or have as an option to include with the quick leveling base is beyond me. But it does its job well and I’m very happy with it. 5

[Blue] Found out on a Thursday that my Saturday shoot to wrap up a short film was going to be super windy. So I paid the extra $15ish for overnight shipping and got it before noon the next day. Worked great for the conditions we were in. DaVinci's vocal isolation helped get rid of the sound we picked up of the trees, crops, etc. but thanks to this baby we were able to pick up all the dialog we needed to get without any issues. 5
