Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the difference to the Lenscoat cap that comes with the lens protection package (not rain)?

A: I don't think I understand your question but I can tell you the cover is excellent. I used it in the Oregon rain and I was so glad I had it. I would recommend to have one in your kit.

Q: 2. Which LensCoat travel hood would you recommend for an Olympus 150-400 lens?

A: The LensCoat TravelHood Zoom (Realtree Max5) BH #LETHZM5 • MFR #THZM5 will work on the OM SYSTEM M. Zuiko 150-400mm f/4.5 TC 1.25 IS PRO Lens. It will fit on zoom lenses from approximately 67mm up to 150mm diameter lenses. It is possible that it will cause vignetting at the wider angles of the zoom.

Q: 3. Does it work with the canon 600mm f4 lens and the canon r5 with the battery grip and gimbal head on tripod

A: Yes, the LensCoat RainCoat Pro (Realtree Max5) can accept a Canon EOS R5 with a battery grip and the Canon RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM Lens.

Q: 4. I have a smaller Sony a6000 mirror-less camera with a variety of lenses; all but one small than 67mm. Will this work?

A: No, it's too big. This is for a 300mm 2.8, the front diameter of this kind of lenses is about 110mm.

Q: 5. Will this case fit a Canon EOS R7 with the RF 100-400mm F5.6-8 ?

A: That combination will be very tight but should fit in LensCoat BodyBag Telephoto (Black)

Q: 6. whats the maximum diameter of the lens that it can handle ? I have a hood that is 5 inches in diameter .

A: I just measured it with my 4 1/2 inch hood and there was a good two inches more room left. It is an impressive rain coat.

Q: 7. It will fit my Camera Canon 5D 111 with the 500 mm Canon with hood?

A: Works very well with my 5D3 and 500 f/4, with and without teleconverters. Took one practice session, but I was then able to place in driving wind and rain in less than a minute. Really keeps you gear dry, with excellent access to you controls. Folds up in a pouch that can be used to protect you gear in transit, act as a cushion, or protect you shoulder when carrying the tripod-mounted camera + lens.

Q: 8. Is there a way to use a camera flash (shoe mounted) with the lenscoat raincoat pro? I have canon film slr - eos 3 and canon speedlite 550 ex flash. thanks

A: Hi Sanjay, in reference to you question about the raincoat pro...it does not have an opening for the hotshow, but there are ways to shot with the raincoat on.One way would be to pull the raincoat around the flash. This would leave the flash exposed and a small portion of your camera on the back side of the flash.Another way would be to turn the faincoat so that the sleave is facing up and you could slide the sleave down over the flash and use the pullstring to cinch it on the flash so that only the end of the flash is exposed. This option should give you what you are looking for while keeping your equipment dry.Hope this helps.

Q: 9. is it long enough for a canon 400mm f5.6 lens with hood fully extended and 1.4 extender and extension tubes added ( approximately 18 inches in length )?

A: Yes, the RainCoat Standard is 20 in length and will fit your setup. It is designed for the 400mm f/5.6 lens.

Q: 10. Will this Rain Coat fit comfortably over the semi permanent LensCoat for Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 lens protector? Or will it have issues to address?

A: Yes, it will fit very well, or at least is my experience, due to the Rain coat is big enough to fit even bigger lens, so you just need to adjust the velcro

I'm of the opinion that anyone who cares about keeping these expensive pro lenses in pristene condtion and without compromise, should have a lencoat. I like the product and find it easy to switch between white or differnt camo prints. I've now purchased several lenscoats in different patterns for wildlife work. It seems so simply but yet so smart.

After I bought my new lens, I really needed this, seeing how hard photographing wildlife can be on your equipment. This cover went on easily, and does a great job protecting my lens. Once I figured out how to get the holes lined up exactly, I have no problems switching to manual focus, or turning the Image Stabilizer on or off.

I bought this to protect my camera during our rainy Pee Wee football season. It was easy to put on and looks like it will protect the lens. Perfect for our Washington weather.

As a pro I am very rough on my gear. This cover is peace of mind knowing I am protecting it from scratches and nicks. Love how it fits. The camo pattern also conseals the white lens when I am in the field with wildlife.

What a great product. Once you put the product on your lens, it has a snug fit. I have mine on several lenses for a few years and never have to think about it except to be grateful for all the scratches I don't have. Product performs exactly as advertised.

Protects the gimbal head, but also looks sharp. Easy to install. The fit is perfect. Does not affect gimbal head moving parts. No issues with this product.
