[0.145 lb] Awesome monitor, I can see everything now in the sunlight and I'm able to dial in my colors, focus, and aperture with ease. The only thing that really bothered me a lot that it didn't come with a charging cord. DJI assumes you have Phantom or Aspire and you can just you use that charge, I have a Mavic that that charger is not compatible so I went and had to buy a certain type of Osmo charge that had the same connection as the monitor. Also, does not come with a cable that goes from the monitor to the controller so I needed to buy a USB to USB C Type cable which can be found in Cell phone accessories cause the new phones use this USB C type connections now. Another thing I cant figure out how to record to the SD cards going to have see what the deal with that is. Overall though great monitor makes my life a lot easier now.

[0.145 lb] I come from the world of Teradek and I gotta say this DJI system is awesome. It's seamless... receiver turns on... transmitter turns on... and it's connected. And I've never lost transmission for all my shoots which includes long range down rivers in Alaska. The price is low which gives me the freedom to just hand to a client and I'm not worried if they beat it up. Picture is crystal clear. I added some tilta wooden handles and it's slick. Hoping DJI comes out with a dedicated Rx though - this system is currently limited to only the Tx and the 7" video Rx.

[4x Tuchel Male] Great Monitor, great user interface. Long distance clean image transmission. Only downside is the cost, and the way the Ronin 4D has a bunch of hidden add-ons that drive the cost of the camera up. Also--be aware that this does not come with handles, and you will need to either share the handles with the Ronin 4D, or buy a second set of handles (which are quite expensive).

[4x Tuchel Male] After flying in cold weather with my phone (for 10 minutes), I realized I needed a better solution. This monitor is wonderful. It holds its battery in cold weather and the brightness is so much better than my phone.

I was a little annoyed that it doesn't come with a charger or a mount, but even after the additional $100 or so this is still a cheap and very nice monitor.

I highly recommend mounting it on the Mavic remote with the DJI Mavic Mount. It's nicely balanced with the remote and is easy to take on and off.

[4x Tuchel Male] If you’re a commercial drone pilot, you’ll need this. If you’re a hobbyist drone pilot, then you’ll be fine with a tablet or phone. But doesn’t mean you can’t buy it. As a commercial drone op, I have experienced my phone/tablet over heating quickly in over 90 degree weather, making them useless. I literally carry an ice chest to put them in on hotter day jobs. The CS handles the extreme temps so much better. It’s way brighter than your phone or tab. I only have the 5.5 monitor which is good size. The bigger monitor is of course better in screen size but also bigger and heavier. The 5.5 is good on the go or don’t want to carry a bunch of gear. Remember, everytime you fly with your phone or tablet, you are degrading in some kind of way, plus this monitor is geared to DJI so the start up is quicker and the latency is faster. I can go on more about but it is a good investment if you make money with it.

[4x Tuchel Male] I own a lot of teradek and I'm really loving this DJI system. HDMI should be output instead of input, but I don't plan to use that anyway so whatever. The range is crazy and people say there is latency but I've done tests and it's not perceivable when I compared to teradek. 1ms vs 5ms is too small to notice since you're only getting 24 fps output which would be .5 to 1 frame of delay. I'm not sure why I see people saying the delay is more because I used a camera to record a stopwatch in slow motion on my phone and there was barely a measurable difference let alone a perceivable one.

[4x Tuchel Male] I'm using the CrystalSky with my Mavic, mounted on a Mavmount. The entire setup is very compact and perfect for travel. I considered getting the larger CrystalSky monitor, but in the end, decided that the smaller monitor was easier for travel. After all, that was the point of me getting the Mavic in the first place (I used to travel with an Inspire 1, and that was a separate piece of luggage itself). I'm not a professional, and use my drone for vacation travel and fun. The monitor is A LOT brighter than any tablet or phone I've used (nvidia shield, samsung 10, galaxy S8). It's not thin, however if you have the right mounting platform, it is solid and robust. There are dedicated buttons on the side, along with 2 programmable buttons (I set them for max brightness, and screenshot), which are very handy. The monitor takes about 15 seconds to start up, and boots to a dedicated DJI menu (OS runs on android). I can use it in full sunlight without a sunshade. The screen is also matte, and doesn't have a reflection like regular tablets/cell phones. If you happen to be standing in the shade, the monitor is even better. I use the monitor mostly for framing/composing my shots, and not for looking at small details. So the smaller 5.5 version works for me. No regrets purchasing this monitor.

[4x Tuchel Male] this monitor is great when flying outdoors, regardless of how bright it is the screen is well lit so you can see clearly. I would regularly fly with my iPhone 7, and now this is my go-to as it is a slightly bigger screen and better brightness. I have only used it for a couple of weeks and have not experienced any issues with the Go4 App. Im still learning to use the file transfer capability, but overall i am very satisfied with the product. Battery life is great, and it really isnt all that heavy once mounted on the controller (I'm using the PolarPro Flight deck monitor mount).

[4x Tuchel Male] I was on the fence for a while whether it was worth the money to have an additional monitor and not just use my iPhone. Even though the iPhone does the job, its so much easier to use the monitor. From the brightness in the sun to the clarity of the screen. Its android but not that hard to use the interface coming from an Apple interface. I was getting calls on my phone while flying the drone so it would interrupt the flight but now I dont have to deal with it. I may end up getting the larger version too to have options! Would recommend.
