A: Yes, you can use a steamer to eliminate wrinkles if necessary, just make sure you do not hold the steamer against one spot of fabric for too long.

Q: 3. Does this product send a tone over the coax? I would think so, but I don't see anywhere definitively stating that. This is a big deal, as doing security cam installs and such, you go into a job not knowing what wire is coming out where and usually have a jumbled mess. So it'd be nice if this did have that feature to shoot a tone over the coax and use the probe to pick the right line out off 20 or more.

A: Yes, it works pretty well. I used it in a jumble of 20 Ethernet cables going through a wall. There are fancier devices that can tell you the length of a cable, but for the price this is a good deal. There was some leakage to adjacent wires on the same cable, but I could still tell which pin was connected to the pin on the other end.

A: Yes it sends a tone on RJ45. The tone is only to signal 1st line as it cycles through the 8 lines of ethernet cable. The additional continuity is tested using the 8 led's

A: Yes, as per Kopul; the test tone is -50dB/-10dB/+0dB at 1khz.

Q: 9. Will this unit test the shield on a shielded Cat6?

A: I did not purchase this unit, I bought the lower unit dedicated to analog audio. Your answer may be best answered by the manufacturer. On my balanced audio cables it does not test the shield.
