Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. are these antenna compatible with the XSW Band A iem?

A: The Sennheiser HALF WAVE DIPOLE Half-Wave Antenna Rods for EW-D EM Receiver are not intended for use with an IEM transmitter.

Q: 2. Can I use this system with the 1/4'' and 1/2'' antennas? I don't really need the very big antennas. Thank you

A: You can use B&H # SEHALFWAVEDQ for compatibility with the Sennheiser EW-D ASA.

Q: 3. Will this work with the 1/4 wave antennas from the EW-D receivers?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW-D ASA 4-Way Active Antenna Splitter with DC Distribution for EW-D Wireless Systems can be used with a pair of 1/4 wave antenna provided with one of the receivers. It can also be used with 1/2-wave dipole antennas or paddle style antennas for added range and reliability.

Q: 4. Is this the replacement for the ASA-214 which appears to have been discontinued?

A: Yes B&H # SEEWDASAQRS is the replacement.

Q: 5. what is the gain of the antenna?

A: Regarding the Sennheiser HALF WAVE DIPOLE Half-Wave Antenna Rods for EW-D EM Receiver (Pair, Q: 470 to 550 MHz) and what is the gain of the antenna, it is 2.15 dBi.

Q: 6. Is compatible with the SLX-D too?

A: Yes, the Shure UA844+SWB/LC Wideband Antenna Distribution System is compatible for use with Shure SLX-D receivers.

Q: 7. I'm running 50' of cable between our IEM Combiner and the Shure PA805SWB antenna. Will this amplifier work for this application?

A: The Shure UA834WB In-Line Antenna Amplifier would not be recommended for use with an IEM transmitter, as it is intended for use only with wireless microphone receivers. However, as long as your run is under 100' and you are using high-quality cable, there is no real need for an amplifier in this particular case.

Q: 8. Is the power supply 110~220v automatic?

A: Yes

Q: 9. Will this work for the EW-DX systems? The description says ED-D.

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW-D ASA 4-Way Active Antenna Splitter with DC Distribution for EW-D Wireless Systems is compatible for use with Sennheiser EW-DX EM 2 Two-Channel Digital Rackmount Receivers. The EW-DX EM Receiver is the two-channel version of the EW-D Receiver, which is singe-channel.

Q: 10. Can I use these with an antenna distribution system, instead of the shark fin style? So 4 receivers would be patched into 1 of these antennas...

A: An antenna of this type would not be recommended for a distribution unit. They are designed to be used as a pair with a single receiver, and will not work properly connected to an antenna distro carrying multiple signals.

[BNC] Replaced the quarter inch that come with the sennheiser XSW-2. Worth every dollar spent on these to improve signal and distance with a lapel mic. I'm a mobile DJ that does wedding ceremony audio, so having no drops outs is a must. I gained about 25ft of distance and more importantly, no slight drop outs I would sometimes deal with prior

[694 to 758 MHz] too many wireless mic receivers come with tiny antennas. Boost your gain and keep things connected with a half wave of Shure!

[BNC] With the crowded spectrum that we now deal with I have begun to add wireless systems in the lower frequency bands. This antenna lets me use my ULX-J1, QLX-D H50, and SLX-D G58 systems with the same antenna.

[694 to 758 MHz] They do exactly what you expect them to do, and do it well. Using with Shure SLXD systems.

[694 to 758 MHz] Bought to improve signal reception due to frequent dropouts and we want to be able to remote mount in the future. The construction is solid. Antenna is about 13 inches long. Works well with the Shure SLX4 receiver. We saw a definite improvement in the radio signal over the basic 1/4 wave antennas. Works on any frequency between 470-636.

[694 to 758 MHz] Much better reception than little 1/4 wave antennas. These should be standard issue!

[BNC] I needed a set of Wideband antennas for my Shure UA844 distribution unit. These antennas cover the frequencies of all of my wireless units.
