Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a nikkor H 1.8 non-AI 85mm will this work?

A: Yes

Q: 2. I have a Samsung NX1000 and want to use my Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens. Will this adaptor work?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Canon EF Pro Lens Adapter with Tripod Mount for Samsung NX Cameras will allow you to attach the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens to the Samsung NX1000 Mirrorless Wi-Fi Digital Camera.

Q: 3. Will this lens fit on a Sony A7r or do I also need an adapter?

A: This lens has an E-Mount, so it will attach to the A7R. The A7R has a full frame sensor and this lens is for APS-C sized sensors, it will still work though if you use the A7R in its APS-C mode.

Q: 4. On a canon fd lens does this adapter have aperture control so I don't need to use the aperture ring on my lens making it like a declicked ring on the adapter?

A: Hi, yes it does have aperture control and it works perfect. It is controlled by a separate ring on the adapter. I did have to buy some small files and file down a VERY small amount of metal at a time until I got the perfect fit from the bottom of each of the ears on the adapter NOT the Camara or lens. As it was super hard to screw on. I never continued to install the adapter once it got hard. Once I finished filling down the black paint it installed like if it was a Samsung product. I hope I answered your question right?so far I'm very happy with this product. I wish I could post some pictures so you can see what I did. Maybe it would've helped a little more. Good luck sincerely, Omar.

Q: 5. the lens is made from plastic or metal ?

A: These lenses are of a high quality plastic.

Q: 6. Is this the model that's also compatible with the C300 MKIII?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 7. How can I unmount my lenses after using this adapter? I seems that there is no release button.

A: The silver thing on the side that looks like a button slides back and forth rather than moving in and out (up and down) like a regular button, so sliding it back and forth pulls the retention pin out of it's lock depression

Q: 8. Does this lens fit on a Canon 5d mark III?

A: Sorry, no, it does not for two reasons. 1. This lens is for a mirrorless camera and is designed to be closer to the sensor. This has the advantage of reducing the lens and camera size. However, if you were able to mount the lens on a 5D Mark III, this lens would be forced to be too far away from the sensor and consequently it could not focus. 2. Even if you could mount it and focus it still would not work because it cannot make an image that would cover the entire sensor. Thus you would get too small a circle image with a great deal of black surrounding it.For your application you can use the Rokinon 12mm f/2.8 ED AS IF NCS UMC Fisheye Lens for Canon EF Mount. See attached link.

Q: 9. will this mount adapter work with canon ef-m mirrorless lenses?

A: It will work with any EF mount camera. Heads up, the iris built in to the adapter does not work like the one on the lens. It works by only letting in less light but doesn't change your depth of field. It will begin to vignette at some point. Your essentially shooting wide open all the time so you'll need nd's to compensate. Well made construction and works well with my canon L glass. Fun little camera.

Q: 10. How does the Ethernet work? Is it just a plug in the sled? What about WiFi?

A: The Waterbird MS PRO 150 Multi Slider Mark II (59") (B&H# WAPROMKII150) plugs into DMX with a standard 3-pin XLR port or may be controlled using a mobile device with the proprietary Waterbird app. See below: Android https://bit.ly/3JpYwMh iOS https://apple.co/3mzGw9s

I was able to change the f-stop by using a different camera and removing the lens while still at the desired setting. It's sturdy and perfect for my nx500.

Overall the adapter works great. It is stiff to put onto the camera body, but holds the lens on securely.

First bought a more expensive Polaroid adapter from @ and had to returned it bc of a no lens error. This adapter has no errors and fits we'll on the NX1.No a af but focus assist makes things pretty easy.

What can I say? Great price point Great fit. Used this with: Rokinon 35mm cine lens (Fits like a glove) Sigma Art 18-35mm (Super Snug but fits) Sigma 30mm (Less snug) Sigma 17-70mm (Less snug) Only thing to add is why can't anyone seem to make a smart adapter?

I used this to mount a Sigma lens onto my NX1, and had no issues. It's made of study material and I would buy another one.

This adapter is cheap, good quality, simple to use and works as expected. It comes in a small cardboard type packaging with no instructions. All you need to do is to insert the adapter in the camera mount the same way you would with a lens, and twist it until it locks in place. Then you mount the lens in the adapter the same way you would if it would be mounted directly in the camera body. To remove the lens, you simply press the button shaped thing on the side of the adapter towards the camera body, this will unlock the lens so you can twist it and remove it. I'm using it with a Rokinon / Samyang 35mm f1.4 canon lens and a Samsung NX1, so I can manually control both focus and aperture from the lens. You can't be in auto mode to use the lens with this adapter otherwise you'll get a check lens error (since the camera has no way of knowing there is actually a lens attached).
