The Trijicon 3x24 Compact ACOG Riflescope, Red Horseshoe Dot .223is a fixed magnification scope with an illuminated reticle pattern for use in any lighting conditions. Dual illumination provides two sources of battery-free illumination, fiber optics and tritium. The fiber optics use ambient light to automatically adjust the brightness level and contrast of the reticle to available light conditions. The tritium-phosphor lamp glows in low-light conditions. The ACOG body is designed to be extremely rugged and reliable. The forged 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy housing provides for a nearly indestructible sighting system. No other magnified optic has been used more in combat than the Trijicon ACOG. Mounting bosses are integrated into the housing (near the eyepiece) to allow the easy addition of a Trijicon RMR with the RM54 mount, both optional. No tools are needed for windage and elevation adjustments because the ACOG features external adjusters. All adjuster caps are provided with a lanyard assembly to minimize the loss of caps.

The Trijicon Q-LOC mount features a Mil-Spec drop test rated 6061-T6 aluminum design, with an easy-to-use, one-handed tool-less mounting system. The spring-loaded design allows for constant retention and maintaining of zero even if the knobs are not tightened. The mount boasts a low weight and low profile design with superior return to zero performance and is compatible with any Mil-Spec or NATO Picatinny rail.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the pole be used underwater?

A: Its not made for under water...I used mine in Fla I washed it off with fresh water and a spray of wd40... seems to be alright

Q: 2. Is this compatible with a Sony Alpha 6300?

A: While there are no reports of this being used with the a6300, it is supposed to work with any photo camera with Live View and HDMI out which the a6300 has.

Q: 3. Does the hood have threads to screw in a filter, and if so are thet 52mm like the hood?

A: Since this is for wide angle lenses, there is no filter thread in the front since having a filter there would most likely cause vignetting. Dot Line's regular rubber hoods do have front filter threads.

Q: 4. Whats the actual weight capacity that this can hold? The size of this is perfect for me, I need something ultra compact, but I also need it to be able to handle a 5d, 16-35mm lens, idc follow focus and camera mounted shotgun mic.

A: The Magic Rig is quite strong. Our customer reviews show that cameras in the weight range of the Canon 5D will work with the rig. Also If balanced correctly the IDC Follow focus should also work. You will be approaching the upper weight ranges when adding the FF and mic.

Q: 5. Will these work on Nikon AF-Mount cameras?

A: Yes, the Dot Line Manual Extension Tube Set will work on Nikon F mount autofocus cameras, however using these tubes will be manual focus only.

Q: 6. Does this hood have internal threads for a lens cap or filters? Thanks!

A: Yes, it does have threading for mounting a filter or lens cap to its front.

Q: 7. Can the EVF and 7" monitor be used simultaneously WITH the top handle installed? Doesn't look like it'll work.

A: When using the RED DIGITAL CINEMA RED Compact EVF Pack, you cannot also use the RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0" LCD Monitor (Direct Mount), as the RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC3 Adapter A for RED Compact EVF (B&H # RE7200069) only has a single output with which to distribute the feed from the camera.

Q: 8. What is the part on the front for? The red branded piece with the skull on it

A: The accessory arm on the RED DIGITAL CINEMA Compact Top Handle for KOMODO-X or V-RAPTOR/XL, is intended to be used with a 15mm Monitor Mount.

Q: 9. I have the Magic Rig already. I would just like to know where I can find a new QR plate for it? I would like to swap cameras faster when I need to.

A: Unfortunately we do not currently sell this quick release plate separately, however, any Arca style quick release plate should be compatible with this quick release system, such as the Photo Clam PC-59-UP3 Universal Camera Plate.

Q: 10. Will the DL-50M work with a Nikon FE2 film camera?

A: Yes the Dot Line DL-50M Manual Flash is compatible with older film cameras such as a Nikon FE2.

[10 mm] Beautiful optic, durable and has an outstanding reputation. I am so glad I bought this setup. Amazing optical clarity and quality. The eye relief is pretty short, but the acog weighs less than the lpvo it replaces. I am a huge fan of the simplistic nature of the acog, gotta keep it Barney style for us Marines. The green chevron is where it’s at in my opinion. B&H as always great customer service and communication, awesome prices, and super fast shipping. Thank you very much B&H.

[Aluminum] I have been using Trijicon ACOGs since the early 1990s and have never been disappointed. I use a quick release and the zero never changes. This one has fiber optics and tritium for illumination so it easy to center and shoot.

[10 mm] Received the optic earlier than the forecasted available date. BH delivered the item within 2 days and the product arrived with no issues. As for the ACOG and rmr combo, the ACOG has excellent glass and I truly enjoyed zeroing the red cross hair. (Downloaded The PDF manuals on trijicons website). The only part I disliked about the combo was the position of the RMR, because to zero the RMR on top of the ACOG I would have to change my sight alignment and lift my head up to see the RMR. Do to the current Unavailability of offset mounts, I was not able to purchase one prior to zeroing the ACOG. Regardless, the combo is great and once an offset mount is available, I will test and zero the RMR.

[10 mm] I recently purchased a Trijicon 4x32 ACOG, and I am thrilled. The clarity, and ease of use of this optic has quickly led to it becoming one of my favorite sights. Trijicon has certainly lived up to it's reputation,
and B&H sent me exactly what I ordered.

[24 mm] I have never served in the military.... but I have hunted in North Mississippi for 30 years and this is by far the best rifle sight ive ever owned. Buy this sight you will not be sorry. I particularly like the red horseshoe. its so bright and clear. Anytime someone picks up my rifle and looks through the sight they make a comment on how much they like the sight. I'm glad they do not know how much it costs... but as the old saying goes... you get what you pay for.

[24 mm] I've tried many law enforcement and military optics including eotechs with magnifiers, aimpoint CCO's, many different LPVOs etc. but this seems to fit my nitch much better. Being right handed but left eye dominant, this prism style is much easier for my eye to aquire while keeping both eyes open. The extended range capabilities this gives me even out of an 8 barrel with 300blk subsonics is outstanding. When paired with a trijicon RMR or similar micro dot for night vision shooting or CQB, what's not to love. The glass quality and clarity is better than any other optic I've tried. Simply put, you can't beat this.

[10 mm] The only downside is that Trijicon is still quite behind in their production, so there was a fairly long wait for this. Optic is clear and bright. Both day and night reticle visibility is very good. Easy install of course. B&H had a very good price on this. A heads up that this RMR is always on at fixed brightness. Good in a tactical situation but you do need to keep in mind that regular battery replacements should be on your schedule. Highly recommended.
