Q: 6. Is the base made out of steel?

A: The legs are not made of steel. The entire stand is comprised of aluminum with steel bolts and nuts except for the top riser and one part of the leveling leg which are steel. It's a good stand and will hold every bit of the weight it is rated for. Folded up, It is taller than I expected which was not a plus for me but I removed the inner shock absorbing springs which made it about 3 inches shorter. All in all, I'm happy with the stand. It's light weight which is why I bought it. Hope this helps.

A: Yes, the Manfrotto 645's double spikes will fit onto the E-Image Lightweight Tripod Dolly.

Q: 10. Would this work with an Fs7?

A: The support is designed to work with the FS700. The rod center height will not fit properly to work with matteboxes and accessories if used with an FS7. For the FS& you will need a 303-2701 and 303-2702. These items are made for the FS7 and will allow the camera to slide on the plate for better balancing. It is VCT V lock compatible and will also slide onto ARRI style dovetail plates.

[4.99 lb] This kit is perfect, and for an excellent price. The mics sound fantastic and offer some flexibility not found in the usual suspects when it comes to drum mics. For example, the kick mic having two phase aligned capsules and being able to record each simultaneously and then mix them to taste. is wonderful in practice It also offers a few different sound flavor settings depending on how you are using it. The overheads are small and light, and also offer a couple of options. I've used an SM57 on snare for decades so I'm very familiar with it, but I really like the similar sound of the snare mic. The build quality is extremely good, and it comes in an awesome heavy duty case to keep everything tidy and safe and sound when not in use. I really couldn't be much happier with this kit in relation to my old setup ((C314s, Beta 52, SM57, e604s) and the only thing I can think of that I don't like is that the clip holders for toms/snare are a bit tough to get on relative to the e604 holders. I highly recommended the Lewitt Beatkit Pro. 5

[Silver] You just can't beat the value of this case for the gigging drummer. I own over a dozen of these SKB drum cases and have yet to tear one up. My bass player ran over one and drug it several feet before he realized something was wrong. It did not hurt my snare ...repeat there was no internal damage to this drum! I highly recommend SKB products and limited life time warranty. Running over it with the Band Bus doesn't count guys! 5

[Silver] this stand has been fantastic support for my elinchrom ranger quadras. very light and easy to haul around. Thats the goal of my whole kit as I am an on location portrait photographer. It hasnt dissapointed yet and I expect many years of service. 5

[4.99 lb] PDP's PDDT700 is a BASIC drum throne. Still, the throne offers high quality parts throughout. The method of height adjustment is simple and will NEVER fail. It can't, as there is a bolt/wingnut assembly straight thru the vertical pipe. Multiple holes for height to choose from. Often over time and use, many throne weight- bearing tube clamps can Slip in seat height. This one simply cannot....a big advantage. Ideally, seat could be an inch wider and offer a bit more comfort. However for the money, this throne will last a long time ! A great value in a lower priced yet, quality throne. I am pleased with this purchase. 5

[4.99 lb] Got it in the bundle along with the Roland TD11K e-drum. Dual chain makes it a bit more stable and it comes with a drum key attached to it. I'm no drum expert, so this is as far as I'll go. 5

[14 x 7 x 3.1"] I got two of these stands specifically for light location work. They fit perfectly in a Pelican 1650 case with padding. With a load capacity of 9 lbs, I use them with my Profoto B1 heads that weigh 6.61 lbs with a light modifier. Use a sandbag at the base of the stand and you're good to go. 5
