Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. My lens says it is the Olympus 14-42mm II but it is f/3.5-5.6 (for my micro 4/3 camera). Is this the correct lens cap? Thanks!

A: Yes, this cap will also serve as a replacement for the cap included with the Olympus 14-42mm II f/3.5-5.6 lens.

Q: 2. Is it plastic or metal?

A: Hello! It's plastic!

Q: 3. Will it work on a Panasonic GX7?

A: From what I can tell the GX7 uses micro four thirds lenses. Both Panasonic and Olympus do very well at sticking to the micro four thirds standard, meaning you can use either brand lens or either brand body. So yes, if the GX7 is a micro four thirds body, the Olympus 75mm will work quite nicely. As a reference I have an Olympus body and I use both Olympus and Panasonic lenses. Also this 75mm f/1.8 is of excellent build quality. You won't be disappointed.

Q: 4. How does the "Movie and Still compatible " autofocus system build into the lens work with the camera's autofocus?

A: The MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) mechanism has been specially developed to enable fast, quiet autofocusing; it provides smooth focusing while ensuring low noise. The MSC mechanism would be compatible for use with the autofocus system inside mirrorless digital cameras that use the Micro Four Thirds lens mount.

Q: 5. Can this be used on other Olympus lens with 46mm filter thread?

A: It fits well on my Olympus 12mm f2 lens as well as the 17mm f1.8. Have not tried it on other lenses.

Q: 6. Will this fit my m.zuiko 17 mm f1.8 micro 4/3 lens?

A: The Olympus LC-37B Lens Cap is for lenses that have a 37mm filter thread. So it will NOT fit the Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital 17mm f/1.8 Lens. The Olympus LC-46 Lens Cap is the correct one.

Q: 7. Will this lens cap fit on the M. Zuiko 75-300 mm lens?

A: The Olympus LC-62F Lens Cap does not fit the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II Lens. The Olympus LC-58F Lens Cap for 14-150mm f/3.5-5.6 II Lens also fits the ED 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II lens. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3pRgT0I

Q: 8. Does this lens cap fit onto a lens with an 87mm Outer Diameter?

A: It's designed to fit over one lens--the Olympus ED 7-14mm f/2.8 Pro lens, which has a front diameter of 78.9mm. It won't fit over an 87mm diameter.

Q: 9. Would this lens work well on a Black Magic Micro Studio camera for filming indoors in low light?

A: Being that the Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K has a Micro 4/3 lens mount, this Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 75mm f/1.8 lens can work on it.

Q: 10. Does this lens cover fit over the metal lens hood or it only fits over the lens with the lens hood taken off?

A: No the LC-61 will not fit over the metal lens hood for the M.Zuiko ED 75mm f1.8 lens. When using this cap the hood needs to be removed from the lens

[61 mm] If you own the Olympus Pro 8mm Fisheye lens ... which is a terrific lens! ... and you need a lens cap ... this is you only choice

It is overpriced by Olympus ... but what are going to do? You cannot protect the lens with a filter ...because of the significant curvature of lens ... and there are no other companies offering a replacement lens cap ... and you need a lens cap to protect your $1000 investment.

[Slip-On] Its a lens cap, it caps the lens. It is embelished with the word OLYMPUS. It works!

[0.1 lb] I find that Olympus branded replacement parts consistently work better on my Oly gear. I tend to lose lenses and these aren't the most inexpensive, but they work really well for what I need.

[0.1 lb] After I lost my Olympus lens cap, I used a couple of generic brand 72mm lens caps. Each generic brand had its issues. One fit loosely and came off easily. Another was difficult to seat well, making removal difficult. (By the way, though less expensive, the generics were still pricey.) I finally relented and paid the price for the Olympus lens cap. It fits securely. It is easy-on-easy-off, and I am satisfied.
