The access point's 6 GHz 4x4:4, 5 GHz 4x4:4, and 2.4 GHz 4x4:4 radios offer a combined tri-radio aggregate frame rate of 7.78 Gb/s, with up to 4804 Mb/s in 6 GHz band, 2402 Mb/s 5 GHz band, and 574 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band. Technologies like transmit beamforming and enhanced receive sensitivity allow the MR57 to support a higher client density than typical enterprise-class access points, resulting in better performance for more clients, from each AP.

With support for features of 802.11ax, the MR57 offers DL and UL MU-MIMO and OFDMA for more efficient transmission to multiple clients. Especially suited to environments with numerous mobile devices, MU-MIMO and OFDMA enables multiple clients to receive data simultaneously. This increases the total network performance and improves the end user experience.

An integrated Bluetooth radio provides seamless deployment of BLE Beacon functionality and effortless visibility of Bluetooth devices. The MR57 enables the next generation of location-aware applications while future proofing deployments, ensuring it's ready for any new customer engagement strategies.

The MR57's automated RF optimization means that there is no need for the dedicated hardware and RF expertise typically required to tune a wireless network. The RF data collected by the dedicated fourth radio is continuously fed back to the Meraki cloud. This data is then used to automatically tune the channel selection, transmit power, and client connection settings for optimal performance under even the most challenging RF conditions.

The MR57 features integrated, easy-to-use security technologies to provide secure connectivity for employees and guests alike. Advanced security features such as AES hardware-based encryption and Enterprise authentication with 802.1X and Active Directory integration provide wired-like security while still being easy to configure. The MR57 will also support 192-bit encryption along with WPA3 support for added security of the wireless network. One-click guest isolation provides secure, internet-only access for visitors. PCI compliance reports check network settings against PCI requirements to simplify secure retail deployments.

The MR57's dedicated dual-band scanning and security radio continually assess the environment, characterizing RF interference and containing (in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz only, since 6 GHz mandates PMF) wireless threats like rogue access points. There's no need to choose between wireless security (AirMarshal), advanced RF analysis, and serving client data. A dedicated fourth radio means that all functions occur in real-time, without any impact to client traffic or AP throughput.

Meraki Systems Manager natively integrates with the MR57 to offer automatic, context-aware security. Systems Manager's self-service enrollment helps to rapidly deploy MDM without installing additional equipment, and then dynamically tie firewall and traffic shaping policies to client posture.

The MR57 includes an integrated layer 7 packet inspection, classification, and control engine, enabling the configuration of QoS policies based on traffic type, helping to prioritize mission critical applications while setting limits on recreational traffic like peer-to-peer and video streaming. Policies can be implemented per network, per SSID, per user group, or per individual user for maximum flexibility and control.

Industry-standard QoS features are built-in and easy to configure. Wireless Multimedia (WMM) access categories, 802.1p, and DSCP standards support all ensure important applications get prioritized correctly, not only on the MR57, but on other devices in the network. Unscheduled Automatic Power Save Delivery (U-APSD) and new Target Wait Time feature in 802.11ax clients ensure minimal battery drain on wireless VoIP phones.

When plugged in, the MR57 automatically connects to the Meraki cloud, downloads its configuration, and joins the appropriate network. Administrators can schedule automatic firmware upgrades for their dashboard network seamlessly. This ensures the network is kept up-to-date with bug fixes, security updates, and new features.

The MR57 will support all the latest and greatest analytics to provide machine learning-based anomaly detection, server root cause analysis, wireless client scoring based on performance and connectivity metrics, and network benchmarking for networks of similar size and vertical. Along with these features, the MR57 will provide advanced location analytics via API and graphs in the dashboard to provide a clear picture of client density and their movement across the floor plan.

[Internal] My Wifi signal was getting dropped occassionally so I upgraded to the Ubiquiti system with the UniFi nanoHD access point, the Ubiquiti Networks Cloud Key, the Ubiquiti Networks US-8-60W Switch and the
Ubiquiti Networks UniFi Enterprise Security Gateway. WiFi signal was greatly approved and now get a signal on the patio downstairs that didn't have Internet access.

[5 to 95%] Ive used the following Unifi APs:
* UAP-AC-LR
* UAP-AC-Lite
* UAP-AC-Pro
* UAP-AC-NanoHD

They each fit their own role incredibly well and the answer for which of those APs is best completely depends on the deployment.

Best for mobile devices or covering large indoor areas with as few APs as possible?  LR
Best bang for buck all around AP? LR
Best cheap AC WiFi?  Lite
Best for higher user count per AP or dusty / wet environments? Pro
And now we have the NanoHD which easily takes the cake for the question, Whats the best AP I can get for the money that will give me the best 5Ghz performance?  NanoHD!!

This AP maxes out the 250Mbps symmetrical internet connection at the site I deployed it at even through two drywall layers.  Within same room it easily holds 850Mbps on multiple devices at once.  I was most impressed by how much better 5Ghz range this WAP has than any other 5Ghz AP Ive ever used.

Ill still steer people to the AC-LR for general purpose use but if you need performant connections at reasonable distances this is the hands down winner.  The fact that its Wave2 capable means a very good long term value proposition as more devices get that capability.

[Wall, Ceiling] Im upgrading from a really old, pre-AC model (a green-ring AP-LR). The difference is absolutely astonishing. This thing shines!

I was concerned that 2.4Ghz performance would have been subpar according to some things I had read, but nothing of the sort. That being said, its 5Ghz where you really see the benefits of having a good setup.

[4.5 to 5.5 dBi] Easy to setup Access Points in a Unifi environment. Impressed with the small size and performance they’re capable of. Range is impressive for our house and gives us great coverage outside as well. Paired with a unifi controller, they are smart enough to check available channels and move to less congested ones. The ability to combine 2.4 and 5GHz networks as one name is great! We have also used the guest network feature to help our neighbors out until they’re able to get internet hooked up at their house (new construction).

[4.5 to 5.5 dBi] Bought a 3 pack of these plus the UniFi PoE switch for a home renovation. The primary reason for purchasing -- I was looking for better WiFi coverage on a two floor house, approximately 4000 Sq Ft. I had tried one of the mesh products that included a router with 2 remote units that was not much better than the Xfinity cable modem/WiFi. I also wanted something that could handle multiple clients and not have a huge reduction in bandwidth performance. I had pre-wired the locations during the renovation with Cat 5e cable. After termination of the cables, installation was quick and simple. I am using the UniFi software on a PC to aid in the management of the system and the software works very well; provides a client WiFi experience with a percentage value that will be helpful when teenagers complain about internet being slow, etc... The 5Ghz radio is automatically named based on the SSID selected. The 2.4Ghz radio is the name of SSDI plus _IoT. The most impressive the part of the product/installation is the consistent coverage, especially with the 5Ghz radio. I checked 8 locations on two floors plus an outdoor covered porch and the bandwidth tests are nearly equal with in 1 mbps difference on a 120Mbps circuit for both upload and download tests. Price is a little more than a mesh system or high performance router, but I think it will pay off in the long run especially with the diagnostic ability provided with the UniFi software. Bandwidth tests were done with iPhone using the Ookla Speedtest app. I am including few photos with 2 of the 8 tests plus the three access points mounted and the area in garage where the cable modem, PoE switch plus another switch that is connecting wired jack locations. I would purchase again.

[Yes] I live in apartments and there is around like 30 to 50 others AT&T wireless routers. With cheaper ubiquity models I always had like 25 of 50 Megabits/sec top. With that one I always have stable 50 no matter what. Feels like I'm using an ethernet.
